While I wasn’t on the front lines of the Coco War I am from that Era as well, I was more on the sidelines due to only recently (at that time) becoming a Holo/VTuber fan. While Cock fighting is illegal in every state of the USA, the severity depends on what state you're in it ranges from Alabama with a $50 fine for the organizers alone all the way up to Florida with a 5-year prison term and a $5000 fine for even WATCHING a Cock Fight (or having anything to do with one) with most states hovering around the 1-year jail time and $1000 fine level

7:32 in Indonesia it's called sabung. Interesting how it sounds quite similar, probably SEA culture. It fall out of favor quite some time ago though, probably for good.

It's because malay is the lingua franca of the old SEA area. Even European people use Malay translator to speak to locals. Contrary to popular believe SEA people are actually very well connected with trade. They had to pick one language to make trade easier. So word like Sabong or Sabung is common to spread all over SEA

I just want to add that Sabung Ayam and other animals still around but more hidden from authority. It's just in places that not easily accessible via vehicles. You had to walk to places like that.

In PH it's sabong and it's mandated by law that it shouldn't be held anywhere near the main roads and highway, and shouldn't be visible from either. I would know, since behind our small farmland there's a sabongan (arena) that just finished construction.

I was really happy when I saw Watame, Kronii, Lap-sama. My oshiis, Watame is my ult, i wish I can see Watame in a Bodoukan one day i wanna see nerissa next and erb!!!! p.s: I literally shed a tear when the Coco war ended with her Graduation, even more, when Watame shed a tear saying goodbyes to Coco. these 2 are my ult bias back in the day, but Watame will live to continue the legacy and fulfill her bodoukan dream someday that Coco "will fail" to see😞
