Incredible footage - bearing in mind that just two weeks and one day after these scenes were filmed, these happy innocent children had to accompany their father to his gravesite. It is a reminder that one should live and enjoy every moment as if it is the last.

Not even 2 weeks. The title says this is from November 10th. Kennedy was assassinated on November 22nd. So less than 2 weeks.

Ironically, it was JFK himself who probably understood that better than anyone. Given his chronic health ailments that pitted him in and out of the hospital frequently and the plethora of medications he was on to kill his endless physical pain, coupled with his own knowledge of his family’s curse after witnessing his brother Joe and sister Kick die violently, he must have had the premonition that something bad was going to happen to him and that he wasn’t going to live to old age.

Love this so sweet. Thank you Helmer for this beautiful snapshot in time. Unfortunately this was one of the last times they got to spend together. He was an amazing leader who helped show the world America was a “ City Upon A Hill” a light and example to the rest of the world. With these sweet clips of him playing with his kids it shows us as well that he cared for his kids and his compassion as a father and his legacy for the next generation to carry on and lead by his example. He also gave an example to all of humanity on what leadership, character and justice looked like.

Just wish that JFK didn't went to Texas and should have stayed in Washington that weekend or Camp David or Hyannis Port to celebrate his brother Bobby birthday and return to Washington for his son John birthday on Monday and Caroline birthday couple days later and then he and his family head to Hyannis Port for Thanksgiving holiday.and thing would be different

Well just wish that could have prevented and history wouldn't happen and JFK would still be reelected in '64 had he had didn't went to Texas and could win other southern states and even his advisor and friends urged him not go to Texas

It shows how fragile life can be.Here today, gone tomorrow. I have always admired John F Kennedy. A great statesman, a true politician and a man of honour. A loving father and a filial son How cruel that his life was cut short. It pains me till today why should it be him . If he didn't visit Dallas that fateful day America's political scene would have taken a different angle. His brother Robert and son John John would not have met their fate. 😭 His reign was a fleeting one in the White House. Somehow that short stint made a tremendous impact in world history.The Days of Camelot will never be forgotten. I love you Mr President. You are my knight in shining armour. 💕

I get that JFK wouldn't have been assassinated in Dallas had he not gone there, but how would that have prevented RFK getting assassinated in Los Angeles or JFK Jr. dying in a plane crash?

What is was to me was 14-16 hours of hard work every day, but we never complained because we were all committed to his administration. This notion of Camelot eluded me.”

@@dallasbrubaker6054 . JFK would not have been able to prevent the Watts riots in 1965 or the Detroit riots of 1967 had he lived. He'll, Medgar Evers and the four blacks girls in Birmingham Alabama died while JFK was still alive.

Some of the comments are indeed heart breaking even for the strong hearted and are emotional. But there is Caroline kennedy now as ambassador to Australia. And from the family as a whole there are some more. Hope someday someone will lead not just U. S. But the whole world.

Had he been stuck in the bathroom that day, Kennedy would have lived. That's why your conspiracy theories are so silly. Their new rest spot away from the White House seemed like a good place for relaxing. More films in later years would have been better. I think that place is the one that they designed /drafted exclusively for themselves. Seems ahead of it's time!
