Sen. John F. Kennedy and his wife, Jacqueline, were interviewed by Edwards R. Murrow in their Boston apartment one month after they were married in 1953. The new bride was taken aback when Murrow asked her what requires more diplomacy--her old job as a reporter, or being married. CBS News is bringing back an icon - "Person to Person" with Charlie Rose and Lara Logan airs Wednesday, Feb. 8 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

+LisaDawnn I would say it wasn't innocent, but repressed. People were less open about their flaws or concerns. JFK and Jackie seem very innocent here, but everyone knows they aren't (at least JFK wasn't) and are just acting for the camera. I like that we can say almost anything we want today and that we are more aware of manipulation. :) On the other hand, people nowadays know nothing about privacy anymore and that's horrible..

I remember her 'little girl voice' from her tour of the newly decorated White House Tour on CBS I believe....In '62 I think it was....so I was 13....I remember being a little shocked by her breathy voice....suppose I'd not heard her speak before that tour. The remodel, as I recall was done with donations from wealthy Americans that she had 'enlisted' to donate money or artwork. She was appalled, as I' ve read, about the condition of the White House when she and Jack moved in, and Jack asked her to make it her project......great memories...

John could step into room full of people without others aware he was there and they would feel the Presidents vibs and presence in the same room large or small from his amazing charisma and could connect on any level with anyone. There was televised event in a private home of another couple(unaquainted to John Kennedy) to have the opportunity to meet the President in person and also to ask or express some of of most common questions facing all families in that era of Politics and Government issues. They used that event to show the rare occasion of a President took time out of their busiest schedule to meet with any citizen on an individual level. He cared enough proven by this among many other goodwill things done.

Its amazing how perception differs from reality. Branding is a very real art-Joe Kennedy was a Master at it. Sad that JFK and RFK were lost too soon.

I loved that one. All the (that they had at the time) children standing on the steps introducing themselves was precious. Reminds me of my childhood getting lineup with my many siblings. David crying was a delight.

180 knots until five miles from the runway seems unnecessarily fast for a heavy aircraft like that. If she needs to create spacing, how about asking the traffic behind him to slow DOWN instead of asking BA to speed UP?
