Anatomy of fall has two issue, one pace, as u rightly pointed out, 2nd budget limitation, I think this movie will be remade in Hollywood, because story is really interesting, someone like Carey mulligan will be brilliant main character for this

Aha! I'm glad you liked The Holdovers, man. It's this year's CODA for me. A movie I knew nothing about going in that really got me in the feels. It's probably my favorite movie of the year.

It maybe just me I didn't see all the film but I think this was a month full of almost greatness In the sense in the films I saw I was able to see a much better movie in them, most notably Napoleon.

I was so happy that I got to watch Anatomy of a Fall at my first time at a film festival. Some of the best acting I've seen all year, not just by the main actress and the child actor, but the dog has me speechless!

I’ve only seen 4 movies this month. Just finished The Holdovers and it is one of the best of the year by far! Giamatti I hope gets nominated. The Killer was great, I liked Hunger Games: Songbird and Snakes more than I thought, though the 3rd act did felt rushed, and The Marvels was a mixed bag, though I don’t blame that on Nia DaCosta or the 3 leads as they did the best they could, I just wish the story was stronger.

Anyway, my list: 1) Anatomy of a Fall 2) Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes 3) The Holdovers 4) The Marvels (wasn’t sober for this one) 5) Dream Scenario 6) The Boy and The Heron (came out in my country this month so I’m counting it) 7) Napoleon 8) The Killer 9) Family Switch 10) Rustin 11) Thanksgiving 12) Into the Darkness (a little Czech movie) 13) Best. Christmas. Ever. (The worst movie this year for me) I took this order from my 2023 list but I might have to switch it around a little bit haha

I know it came out a while ago but have you seen the movie Champions? It came out in March and stars Woody Harrelson and is quite a fun sports movie

Criticize the inconsistent tone of the first half of napoleon and the weird romance (that I think was intentional to show how josephine was disgusted by napoleon), but i feel like even general audiences are suddenly extremely well informed of napoleon like he was their best pal. Its the small historical inaccuracies that add up but a lot of the big events are still mentioned. The movie liberties it takes isn't that outrageous when you look at past historical epics like braveheart, kingdom of heaven and the last samurai. Otherwise you get a movie like Alexander, where it was a pseudo documentary and everyone hated it. Its pretty impossible to have a extremely historically accurate epic that doesn't feel like a slog and i think this movie manages to do it fairly well

Even though I do not think The Holdovers should have been more than two hours long, the movie is excellent and the main trio are exceptional in their roles. If it were not for Oppenheimer, The Holdovers would have been my favorite movie of the year so far.

I like your point of not long but long. I didn’t see Napoleon, but I see that in a lot of movies. I really think that about Wolf of Wall Street. Whenever he parties or does a business deal, the flow of the movie stops. I get it: he parties and does business. I don’t need to see a million scenes of this

6. The Killer (Fincher is one of my favorite directors ever but this movie was so boring and a huge disappointment) 5. Napoleon (Great action and cinematography but the movie was oddly paced and the story left quite a bit to be desired) 4. Nyad (This was a very inspiring stories with amazing performances especially from Jodie Foster) 3. The Holdovers (This was a very cozy feeling movie with charming performances and I see this becoming a cult Christmas classic) 2. Priscilla (This was an extremely interesting take on the story of Priscilla and Elvis with great directing and amazing performances. I think it’s cool to watch both this and the Elvis movie to get both perspectives) 1. Hunger Games (I love this franchise and this is everything I wanted from a prequel. The Snow origin story was brilliant and I loved the use of music here)

Best thing i watched in November was LEO Tamil Language Action Thriller Movie in Netflix. This movie sticks with me than anything else I've watched in November so. I Really do enjoyed Thanksgiving as well. Loved the Kills.

I watched Tthis mont in theaters The marvels and Napoleon. I would say the marvels 3/5 and napoleon 2,5/5 i was really disapointed by it.
