No GPS back then either. We always had to pay attention to road signs and have good spacial memory. Had to use the white pages to look for a phone number/address. Good to know that we're the last generation, (x) that can still survive without any of this new tech in our daily lives. I do forget though how I survived down time without a smartphone.

It's something how the world was in quite a bit of upheaval at the time. Germany had just reunited two years earlier, the first Gulf War was earlier that year, the USSR was about to cease to exist, and Yugoslavia and Czechoslovakia were not far from breaking apart. Everything was changing so fast! I was 13 in 1991, so I witnessed a lot of it from the U.S. I can remember at this time not even knowing where one of my ancestral countries- Croatia- was even located, then I'd find out the next year.

Nov 91? I was 8 and My family had just moved that summer to a new place in a new neighborhood. It was a big deal for me as the youngest child so I remember this time well. All these commercials are practically burned into my memory. Those Chevy " Like a rock " commercials for some reason are the most nostalgic. And wow 30: 02 Michael Jackson and Madonna were the biggest musicians still. I don't even think Nirvana had released Nevermind yet and started the grunge movement that became such a defining moment for the 90s

It’s amazing that someone such as yourself had the foresight to record and hold on to these decades old commercials for us nostalgic individuals to reminisce over.

No, they came out _live!_ That's when Bob Newhart's mother disowned him. Then, everyone started wearing 'hammer pants' for some reason! I remember this because it was the night I got my thumb stuck in a champagne bottle and I had to walk around like that for hours. 😢

Micheal Jackson and music videos were unbelievably huge. Probably to cash in on MTV's and MJ's success and to drive demand for cable. My house got MTV by 1991, but just barely. I remember MTV being channel #20 and the highest channel in our cable package around this time.

At 31:00, An ABC News Break features the worst one term President in modern history and a man who would become President later in life. As for the latter, I'd say he's lukewarm so far. Not great but lukewarm at best.
