No pets are allowed in the novice training grounds so Mr. Poring had to outsource the job to a local novice :P
Enjoy a 1 hour long version of "One Step Closer" with in game ambience, gameplay and FLAC quality audio.
I have always thought that the ambience of the maps and other players skill sounds add to the atmosphere of the game.

If Mr. Poring had a lore, we could say this the moment beforehand he took the Personality Quiz as Mr. Novice and his character's future class got chosen as the friendliest and cutest adventurer creature to travel around Midgard: as Mr. Poring! 😍

Didn't want to sprite swap, so you could continue to be a "Poring", even on the training grounds? ;) So much of this area didn't even exist back in 2002~2003(when I first began). 😸 Heck, I can't even recall how this whole thing went back in the day... I think you just go to that little starting island, cross the bridge and there's a bunch of Poring hopping around, like a little trial of the combat system. Then you talk to the guy at 4:13 and you got sent to a random city/town, or was it based on your stats? (Where my Izlude-dropper's at? ✊) Been almost 20 years for me now... wow. :| 13:57 Haha n00b~

@@nielzmail I know~ ☺ But if Mr. Poring had chosen a hairstyle/color that no one else ever picks, he could have gone into sprite editing software and made, for example, the frame of that specific head, facing diagonally away _blank._ Then swapped the the frame for Novice (body) sitting, facing diagonally away, out with a frame of a Poring, all Mr. Poring would need to do is to sit down and face diagonally away from the "camera", to hide the character head and show a Poring, instead of a Novice body. 👍 It would of course be a static frame, so maybe an edit of the Backpacking Pet-Poring with a sleeping face edited in: ━⩊━ Alternatively, leave that "Novice sitting facing diagonally away" frame blank also and simply overlay a separate recording of the Pet Poring, with the original background removed/color-keyed out. 🤔 Well, none of this is really necessary as the video is perfectly fine in its own right, but just to continue with the current theme of the channel, thus far. 😸
