There shouldn't be a playoff night. The winner of the league should be the champion. That's like saying City should playoff against Arsenal, Liverpool and Villa after 38 games. Boooo

I actually agree with this. It's like getting 99% on your coursework then doing an exam and flopping on bad luck. It's a terrible metric, as it flies in the face of consistency over a period of time.

most leagues have two comps. 1st wins the league. and goes into the play-offs for a second comp.

@@arryharrysame, there’d be more urgency for players to win nights because you can qualify for playoffs from just winning a quarter final every week

This is very short format darts where there are 3 games a night over best of 11... it would be a different story if there was 16 nights, each played each other twice and it was first to 16 legs... then you have a point. But there needs to be a long format final.

Equal nights won with MVG but more matches won suggests he's more consistent than MVG. More nights and matches won than any other player suggests he's MUCH more consistent than anyone else.

@@declan781MVG was won 4 nights but also lost 8 first round games…. Since week 7/8 he’s picked up the same amount of points as Peter wright (who shouldn’t be in the premier league)

Poor interview questions. "Do you think you're the best in the world?" "Are we going to see a 9-darter?" Just let LL do his thing, no need to feed the media hyperbole any further. Everyone knows he's very good and he can beat the top players. Rome wasn't built in a day. Still very early days in his career. If LL keeps up this consistency then it will be good for the game.
