Well said! You nailed it when you said that she was patient with every note within herself. it wasn’t forced it wasn’t stressed. It was genuine, authentic and beautifully executed… Not only can she do runs with ease, she has a beautiful harmonics to the end of each run. She can power house sing yet her tender notes are so angelic! She is somebody that you would hear on the radio and you know it’s her every time like Ariana Grande, Kelly Clarkson, Whitney Houston, Madonna. When you hear them, you know them. She has a sound of her own, and it comes naturally and easy for her. ❤

I like American Idol more than The Voice because it's about more than "the voice". It can be about originality (like original music), stage presence, etc. Imo a lot of people can do the fancy voice techniques (which are fine), but I'd always prefer originality over more fancy vocals. Also, sometimes the techniques don't necessarily sound better. So long as you sound good and can convey the emotion, that's what music is about to me.

Another thing I like a LOT more about Idol is that they make it all about the contestants. I mean... the judges are personalities still, but their focus is 95% on the contestants. With Voice, the personalities are all about "look at us!!!"

I'd like to see more original songs and less covers. As a Star Search contestant in 1993, Beth Hart sang an original song called Am I the One. That song is still covered by TV singing contestants around the world. When these contestants can't write songs people want to hear, they are just going to disappear like many of the contestants on The Voice and American Idol. These contestants need to have a body of material ready while they are on TV and whatever fame that gives them while they are still on TV. As soon as the recent contestants vanish from the TV, they are just gone back where they came from.

People are saying they think Abi is going to win and yes I think her addition was good, BUT Hailey Mia has more of the sound that young people will follow and vote for.

I think Mia is right up there and any 4 that you mentioned here could win this thing. I'm sure there are others we haven't seen yet that could be sleepers. For 16 years olds this girl is beyond her years. I think Abi is my favorite though, for me as a fan 😉 I love her range, emotion. If she's got some more show stopping performances like she did with "What am I made for" OMG, I think she could pull it off. She brought me and MANY fans to tears with her performance based on the comments I read.
