Happy Anniversary, Deltarune Chapter 2! It feels like it was just the day before yesterday one year ago that our lives were forever changed by a certain spambot... because it was. I'm two days late. Whoops!
This is my first attempt at making any kind of rig like this, and I'm pretty pleased with the results and my efforts. Keep in mind that this is absolutely not as well optimized as it could be, due to an absence of both time and skill. I made this model for myself to use in another music video I want to create at some point, but I figured I'd clean it up a little and release it for anyone else to use!
He has multiple outfits and options, many of which were not displayed in this video. Check it out yourself!

This honestly captures the essence of Spamton's personality and dialogue so well. The idea of character rigging being his strings is also a very creative take on his concept of freedom. This is really well done and you should be beyond proud of yourself!

This is very impressive character animation, especially considering the strange character. The shot where he realizes he's 3D is genius- his eyes go wide, go small, shoot around. He takes off his glasses, and, just for a moment, we see a genuine, pleasant expression beneath his glitchy, unnerving exterior. Before the next shot, where he goes insane again, he poses for a moment, because he's exactly the kind of guy to show off the moment he recovers.

Just absolutely amazing, incredible, so much movement live for a lifeless husk of a former salesman, really hope animators use this one Also love the little in the disclaimer text in the bottom about the toys being sinister, and thr company that made it just completely disappeared off of the face of the planet, and the only reason why there soo many Spamtons in mint condition is because nobody wants them, fits the lore very well

Oh my god, "So much movement for a lifeless husk of a former salesman"... I mean you're not wrong but good lord that's BRUTAL. An empty vessel with a façade of a marketable smile plastered across his plastic face... But hey, if I'm able to bring at least a little more life back into this outdated old puppet, that has to count for something! Thank you so much =)

I literally silently screamed at this. This is so beautifully rendered, the animation is so smooth, and detailed! I adore the attention you placed on his expressions, and the finger details of his motions and gestures, it's so full of life and it's very in-character for him. Alas, I don't have enough words to convey how this is probably one of the top tier animations for him. I especially love the items he has on sale actually being rendered, what a nice touch!

HECK YES!!! It's always really nice to see people with the same perspective. I'm personally a huge proponent of Creative Commons and share-alike stuff; for me, there's seriously no greater feeling in the world than seeing something you made being iterated upon by somebody else. It means they appreciated it enough to create something of their own with it-or maybe it inspired them to make something in general... That sorta thing just makes me unbelievably happy. I certainly understand why restrictions can be necessary, but man, I always want to avoid making them wherever possible. Inspiring and supporting creativity in any way I can is really all I ever want for my work.

i love this entire video tbh, one of my favorite [SPAMTON G. Hello! I absolutely ADORE this model!! He’s so expressive and cute!! I downloaded him and opened him up in blender but there was nothing there? Your little text box with the model ‘s information showed up but there was no objects listed in the object tab. No armatures or anything. I’m assuming it’s just a simple download error. Also, wouldn’t you have to upload a .zip file so the textures and things get transferred over? Just a suggestion! Thank you so much for the free download (the download page is so cute!!!!)

Oh yikes, that's not good. I'm looking into it right now-things seem to work fine on my end, but I'll figure it out. It doesn't need to be a .zip, however-Blender has the option of packing resources into the .blend itself, so those textures should all be included. You'd only need to do that for a .obj or something similar.

This animation is so cool. Very amazing :D I can't help but comment how off Spamton looks. Not bad but interesting. Here he just looks more charming, and devilishly handsome- either that or it's because of how we can see his pupils more often and eyebrows 🥺 . Other artstyles portray Spamton as a spoingle little fellow, chibi, deformed, ugly, very tiny, sometimes correct anatomy- well I'm not disrespecting those artstyles, I just those to be the common interpretations even though all of those are practically cannon. There's no right or wrong artstyle, this one just interested me lol. Great cool thing though :D
