It's pronounced HELGHAST. But I also agree with you. You should be able to play a HELGHAST campaign. But in my opinion, you should be able to play the ISA campaign first, then after that, you could play a HELGHAST campaign!

Sev was demoted because Narville believed Sev's inaction led to Visari's execution and he probably knew he has the clearer head of the two so there's just as if not more responsibility on Sev.

Also, Sev was in charge of the unit. As such, the proverbial buck for his team's actions stopped with him.

if I recall,captain Templar made Rico And sev the leader of the team back in killzone 2. the only difference is in 3 Narville rellied more on Sev since he followed orders. Also I don't think anybody was blamed for vasari death. after all Stahl was about to kill Narville when Really it was Rico that shot him.

Sev should have been an LT dont get me wrong I like rico while his temper gets the best of him he is a GOOD friend. But I also think sev is a better and more caring soldier in general so he should have been promoted to LT

I think Helghast assume he is holding a captured weapon. The strangest part of this game is the stranded ISA always have ISA weapons and have plenty ammunitions of it. It would be make a lot of sense if they scavenge and possess Helghast weapon.

Because if he would have evacuted alongside with them he would have also be caltured but since they left without them they were able to hide much better for the last 6 months from Helghast since thy were a smaller group of people and also Helghast not expecting the ISA to split up. After the ISA were captured and were escorted to the headquarters Rico and his mates were able to ambush the Helghast to first save Sev and then proceeding into saving Narvail (dont exactly remember hia name) by taking their forces one by one.

The Helgahn corporation bought the rights from the earth government to settle and industrialise two planets in the proxima centauri system, the first was Vekta, an earth like paradise world, the other they named Helghan, a barren radioactive hellscape, but a mineral rich mining world. Millions of people migrated from earth to settle on Vekta and thrived, making it and the Helghan corportation wealthy from selling the Earth government goods and taxing its trade routes. The Earth government became increacingly jelous of the Vektans sucess, and resented having to pay their trading tarrifs and relations soured between the two. Eventualy the Helghan corporation cut off trade with Earth, and the Earth government responded by paying a private military corporation (the ISA) to invade Vekta. The ISA easily wiped out the tiny milita defence forces of Vekta and took compleate control over the planet. When the Native Vektans protested and resisted being taken over, the ISA brutaly cracked down and deported the entire Vektan population of humans from their world to inhospitable Helghan, and began to settle the newly conqured Vekta for themselves. Of the native Vektans Exhiled on Helghan, millions of those men, women and children died from starvation, exposure and slow radiation poisoning. Some of them survived, but mutated in the horendous conditions, to become known as the helghast, adapting to their new homeworld. It was only then after suffering for decades in this state that a young scholar visari came to power by popular support, overthrowing the Helghan corporation government and rebuilding the Helghast people into a powerful military centric nation, he instilled into his populace that they should be proud of their new mutated apearance, to overcome their greif and suffering at what had been done to them. He built from them a massive invasion force and sent it to Vekta, to take back their homeworld from the ISA so his people could escape Helghan and go back to living on their paradise world, staring a massive brutal war for the planet. The Helghast invasion fleet failed however, and the ISA countered by sending their own military to invade Helghan, most of the ISA sought to crush the Helghast so they no longer capable of posing a threat, but some of the ISA's leaders had the goal of wiping out the entire Helghast people for good. The ISA military is all but destroyed by the Helghast on their home planet, but the ISA soldier protagonists you plays as manage to capture Visari in his palace, but instead of using him to end the war, and in spite of him being unarmed one of them executes Visari in cold blood. After Visaris death killzone 3 occurs, an insane rogue faction of Helghast try to attack earth with WMD's to win the war, but the protagonists of the game end up unleashing them in a genocide on the Helghast instead, killing over a billion men, women and children on Helghan. From that who do you think are the Vilians? The protagonists you play as are war criminals. The only reason the Helghast are seen as the villians is because their mutations make them seem monsterous, they wear nazi-esque clothing, have an autocratic government. The Helghast under Visari literaly did nothing wrong.

sure back in K2 he was a better leader. but in K3 he was a total idiot throughout the entire story that just blamed Rico for everything despite him making it up by saving his ass 2 times in a row.

They don't all sound Scottish, the grunts have English accents. Visari's voice actor was Scottish, Winston is English so 'British' accents all around. I hate it when people think British is synonymous with English when British refers to the dwellers of the whole of Britain( England, Wales and Scotland) and Northern Ireland.

@@fiakuma29 I wouldn't say it involves fear. I'd say it has more to do with the fact that we view them as wise-cracking badasses. I mean most actors and characters that are black in war films and novels are usually pretty tall and powerfully built. This means they can handle the heavy-duty weaponry like demolitions or light machine guns. There's plenty of white guys who carry heavy weaponry in fiction as well. But your correct, the Gauls and the Vikings were known for brute force. But, similar to African warriors, they utilized relatively little armor compared to their more civilized counterparts for speed and agility. All three would mainly use raiding tactics and would pour in like a swarm. They were all about speed, strength, and agility to fit their respective fighting styles. So they're all pretty comparable in terms of how they fought. The main difference between Gaelic, Norse, and African warriors just lies in the armor and weapons they carried, their specific tactics, and their quality.

So by definition, Stahl, an helghast, destroyed Helghan, his planet and country.

+William Bailey Stahl's ship was immobile from the start, so it posed no threat to the ISA. But fuck that! They continued to pound Stahl's ship causing it to crash into Helghan, causing the terracide.

2 was awesome. This one was not, but it was pretty good.

+Luciferum Yes to all of that. And yes I thought it was strange later when the heroic ISA just hand the Helghast a still occupied chunk of Vekta, fully armed and allowed to violently evict the current residents however they see fit. Seems like ISA were actually hoping for the tensions to continue.

weeellll... if you paid attention at all to the story youd know that there isnt realy a "good guy" side. i feel like they knew well enough that they werent as good of writers as the first team so instead of following the same story theme they made the story more personal. about trying to escape more than exploring the grey lines in war. having said that whoever wrote capt. narvil is a fucking moron. easily the worst and most annoying character in the game
