Quite possibly the best music, dancing and film work I have ever seen. I am completely addicted to this clip. I revisit it time after time. My hair stands on end. I'm there with them. As if it was the first time I heard it 30 years ago. KTF let it grow!

Great to see the younger generation move away from the mainstream stuff and hit the floor to the Northern soul sound, superb.

'ooh baby...', just love the falsetto intro, and high tempo instrumentals. I always end up joining in the chorus, at the end... the magic never fades.

My favourite record of all time and danced to like the first time I heard it (1976)! What a buzz i'm getting from these clips, for me they certainly capture the spirit and energy of the Northern scene, well done Ms. Constantine.

Love how this song cranks up, the backing and production quality is absolutely spine tingling and the dancers getting into their zone, the camera angles and timing are a master work. You can tell the film-maker is a NS lover to the core, full credit to the edit!

The actual song and the dancers are the stars of the video, of course, but the sing-along is just the icing on the cake in my mind; you can just feel the energy coming out of these folks once you hear them.

You can’t recreate what happened naturally in the first years back in the day , the atmosphere back in mrms no film can come near to that atmosphere this is very tame doesn’t come close , still good to see the kids still enjoying the scene but it’s a far cry from what it once was .we tried so hard to keep it underground no publicity no films it worked them days we didn’t want that film crew in every one got out of the way now it’s all the opposite , sorry to be negative just bored with all these films just looks so stereotyped still good effort , forgot to say I moved on years ago but do like to re visit the best times of my life along with the music but at my age we couldn’t keep listening to same old stuff the music progressed it’s not better never will it be better than these old northern tunes I progressed to just rare soul music not northern but must be brilliant for younger generation listening and dancing to proper old school northern you got years in front of you good luck to you all and enjoy it with a passion like we did

Let's hope it's a better film than 'Soul Boy' but I doubt it. Another take on the early 70's by some one who wasn't there. Baggy T-shirts? trainers? At least they chose an old Torch record to go with the music, the Younghearts was always a classic

What happened to dancing to the beat? Some must have hidden ipods, great to see though, lets hope it's just not the new black since the Duffy vid, agree with last comment, the lasses are just going through the motions. Wonder if they'll still be around after 30 years? Remember the influx after 1975 & the cameras entering Wigan, next thing Wigan's Ovation & every dick from Dover to Dundee being hip to the Northern Sound.

The pill heads are what ruined the scene in the 70s and 80s, loads of venues closed down due to drugs. And believe me Wigan wasn't the only allnighter some great nighters around at that time, Notts palais, samanthas. coalville, blackpool, etc. Everybody now thinks northernsoul was just Wigan casino Bollox.
