One of the things that sets *NSYNC apart from the rest? They could sing a capella anytime, anywhere!
They were known to break into an a capella verse of “I Drive Myself Crazy” or “This I Promise You” while promoting their albums, but it was most entertaining when they would burst into song at random moments, or when unexpectedly requested, and immediately fall into those sweet, sweet harmonies.

The others are singers but JC is a god damn VOCALIST! Even when the man was a kid…he could sing circles around 40 year old grown ass men. For example, look up Nick Carter singing a Richard Marx classic “Right Here Waiting For You”…in his 40s and then look into JC singing the same song (age 13) and another Marx Classic “Now and Forever” (age 16 or 17)….Nick Carter doesn’t even stand a chance covering that song when you compare it to JC. JC has a 4 octave range (the most I have been able to hear from his vocal sampling’s over the years is 4 octaves and 3 notes). He can go as high to cover a Counter Tenor part and as low as a Bass (though not as low as a true Bass). This is why JC is considered to be the most vocally gifted male vocalist to come out of ANY boyband (including the Black ones).
