Put them to shame is debatable, but only in America. Everywhere else NSYNC was still not at the level of popularity or success of BSB.

During this point BSB were burnt out, and it was just Nsync time too shine. They definitely deserve their award no doubt. BSB definitely are more dominant worldwide as I feel Nsync got more of the American audience swinging their way both groups were amazing very similar but different at the same time. Feel like as got older BSB music hits better as they had more of the mature sound I feel.

The BSB was there at the beginning of the show and they presented the first award of the night, then they left because they had a concert in East Rutherford.

They were there in the beginning. I remember because Jamie Foxx made a tasteless joke offering AJ a bottle of alcohol after he just got done saying that he was sober & thankful for the support. He also went after Mariah Carey for her mental issues as well. I like Foxx, but it was definitely not one of his best moments.
