Super interested to see this in some of camera comparisons. Camera actually looks pretty promising. The zoom in the video was so smooth and video quality amazing. But it's a bummer if switching between lenses while recording isn't possible

Hey, been following you lately for the z50s pro and z60 ultra. Are we to expect a final review/ thought for the z60 ultra and how this compares against the z50s. I know it falls a bit short on the camera side but I can't have that potato front cam for video calls so for me z50s pro. Z50s pro also has rounded corners and seems more comfortable in the hands. Bigger batt on the ultra but the pro has 60/90/120hz to assist. Ultra only has 60/120. Keep up the good work. Love from the UK! :)

Mostly interested in the high PWM refresh rate Nubia advertises. Supposedly it reduces eyestrain for people who are sensitive. Though there was some stroboscope flickering on camera at the 4:18 mark.

Great to see a review of the global. Can you try out speakers for the full review. Considering this as my main phone as it's potentially a perfect media consumption device. Screen looks perfect so just needs decent speakers but concerned it's just a mono speaker with the earpiece helping out for the stereo channel.

Speakers on the last few Nubia phones are very good. They are not quite on the level of the Red Magic phones but still very good.

It's not a Mono setup, it's stereo but the bottom speaker might be louder than the top but that's pretty normal for most phones that have the same kind of stereo speakers which is most flagships these days apart from the iPhone.

thnx for the review please install gcam bigkak 8.8 as it will improve selfie & probably in 85mm rear one as well; and show the photos or videos of comparison vs stock. also as you know from z50s pro, street phonography even indoors & for portrait , mostly produce better end result compared to normal photo segment.

There is no LED ring. There is just a red ring around the main cam. Thats a metal strip under the glass.

Thank you for showing a lot of software features, not many reviewers do it and only say it's OS this and that. I'm also curious of the feature in Camera called Camera-Family, there was a a option on ZTE Axon 30 Ultra that lets you take moon shots using 1x to capture the landscape while 3x on the moon and join them together to make it more pleasing and true to our eyes, It's hard to capture the moon with landscapes cause you get a blown out moon or the night mode kicks in and its a small moon. Any chance of showing this feature if it's available please?

The screen resolution specs are low for a flagship (ie 2480x1116) and 400PPI. How did you find the screen? Was it good enough or found lacking?

No issue. Yeah typing now on a Xperia 1 V you notice this one has a higher resolution but its not bad on the Nubia at all imho

Actually lower resolution is better for performance and battery life. 400 ppi is more than enough IMO.

Human eye resolution doesn't need more than 400-450ppi at standard 2.5x diagonal distance. Most people have unknowingly fuzzy sight both near and far. The recommended distance to look at a screen is 2.5x the diagonal. Therefore, if the tv screen is 55inch (140cm), the normal distance to look at is 2.5*140=350cm. The same angular resolution is obtained by a 6.8inch screen at 43cm, which is kind of the right distance to look at a phone screen. 4k screen is beyond eye resolution like I said. So, don't worry about 4k screens on phones, they only draw power and don't bring any extra information to the eye.

@@lltechview Some forums and reviews have noted that the Z60U's display is inferior in white color quality, making it look a little pink or warm, or "dirty, not white enough." Often these opinions were from people who are not smartphone users, so the data may not be accurate

Meine Erfahrung bisher mit dem ZTE Axon 40 Ultra ist ok. 1 Major Android Upgrade auf Android 13 gab es im letzten Jahr. Sicherheitsupdates kamen alle Quartal. Beim chinesischen Nubia Z50S Pro gab es häufiger Updates. MyOS 14 fehlt hier aber noch. Meines Wissens nach ähnlich wie Sony 2 große Android Upgrades und 3-4 Jahre Sicherheitsupdates.

Using the classic prime focal lengths, they really need to take a page out of Sony's book with a physical 2 stage shutter button or at least copy Xiaomi with the 13 Ultra Professional Photography Case. Anything else is a waste. P.S I love your little assistant. Looks to be a similar age to mine but I am not sure I would trust them with the phone box

I installed Simple Gallery Pro from f-droid. It works but does not integrate eith the camera app well. So keep Google Photos for that. NFC works

Very close. The Nubia is definitely faster and offers the bigger screen amd way better battery life. Cameras are on par for the ultrawide main cam 35mm is better on Nubia and Tele is also better on Nubia. Nubia looses a lot with its front facing camera. Speaker I give Nubia the slight edge with a bit more bass

Normal photo mode does more AI image processing. Street mode just has a colour filter active and HDR. In general the street mode is a lot quicker in taking shots.

@@user-zs4xf1ds2h In general, the displays of both phones are good. However, each has its own unique features. The Z60 Ultra display looks slightly darker at night, which means better eye protection than the Z50s Pro. However, both look the same in daylight.

I asked Nubia support about the update policy for the Z60 Ultra, they told me it will be updated for 3 years but I'm still grilling them to see if that means 3 years of monthly patches or 3 Android version updates. They did say it will be updated every 3 months so I'm pretty sure that means security patches.

It will be great to compare the z60 35mm photos with some 1 inch phone in 1.5x zoom mode. Due to the crop factor, the used sensor surface is the same. I expect a detailed review of this phone. It is very interesting for photo enthusiasts!

The specs look fantastic, the price is great, but I would like to read a pixel peep review like GSMArena is doing to get one. I am a bit disappointed by my OnePlus 8 pro in the picture quality and battery life, so I'm looking to get a new flagship right from the launch (I got the OP 8 pro a year after launch). The 35mm camera looks way better than the 23-24mm standard on the rest of the phones. The Google pixel 8 pro is too expensive, again, while Samsung doesn't exist for me, I just can't stand Samsung phones. Vivo is china only and can't get it at a reasonable price except going through shady websites, usually very expensive through unofficial channels. Anyway, 700€ is more than a phone should cost, regardless of technology involved, but there will always be people splurging 1200-1400€ on a phone to boost their crappy ego and here we go, it's not going to be long until a decent phone will start at 1000€.

Sony is fantastic, but I expect a better telephoto ans ultra wide to pay 1600usd, the north American version is why it is so pricy

@@lltechview yess, I think it's the first great Xperia release and don't misunderstood me, I had the Xperia 1 mark V for 3 months before I choose to stick to vivo for Origin OS stability. They just dissapointed me for 1600usd I expect something like Huawei p60 art imo
