I was posting very rudimentary versions of some of these points on the heat subreddit. Glad to see someone do a much better version with more video context. I knew Bam would have an easier time in general, as Boston's main priority for the series was shutting down inside scoring. Both to limit Butler's drives and shut down Bam. So, his performance tonight didn't surprise me, but Butler's low scoring did. I thought he'd be getting to the line a bit more than he has been, but I think the ankle is still bothering him and limiting his speed and agility. He's been prioritizing diverting attention and getting someone else an open look at a 3, instead of scoring himself. That needs to change, unless a specific shooter is already hot. I have a feeling he'll get very aggressive at some point in game 2. While most of our shooters did great, literally all but 2 shot exactly 50%, Strus and Robinson had very subpar performances. If they both shoot their average instead, Heat win game 1 by single digits. Miami really needs to focus on limiting Jokic's assists and make peace with him being the primary scorer. The nuggets record when he's got like 30+ pts, but only ~5 assists, is much worse than when he gets a 15-20 pt triple double. Easier said than done, but still.. you aren't gonna stop him scoring if he wants. It's when he gets the whole team fired up that they are unstoppable.

Well thst Kevin Love take didn't age well so far. He was a great in game 2 and I heard Heat were bad in minutes he off the floor except in the 4th. And it made sense, Gordon can't take advantage of him as easily offensively and he provides spacing as a shooter. He's also a veteran that's been to the Finals like 4 times already.
