Nujabes, it's amazing how his music is still around. Not too many people get this treatment, not even big super starts. Sadly we will never experience him again in person, but there's a place that has a little connection with him, and his soul is still going strong there. If you ever go to Tokyo, pay a visit to Usagi in Shibuya, a ramen shop run by Nujabe's little brother. The place plays all the time Nujabes music and special tracks never released to public, has tons of pictures, and serves some amazing and delicious ramen. Also, if you never met Nujabes in person, you can still meet his brother and give him thanks. Be aware, the place is NOT a merchandising shop. They don't advertise Nujabes anywhere nor sell anything. Is just a ramen shop with a deeply connection to Jun Seba. Don't be a typical tourist, be a customer and show respect.

William Adiputra if we really get into it, no, lofi “aesthetics” becoming a thing was due to many different people across genres like punk, grunge, metal, etc. including hip hop, just by the nature of home recordings and cassettes quality being terrible. Dilla was definitely a lo-fi musician tho, but I don’t know if technically Nujabes is. He sampled a lot of old music, but I think his focus was to make jazz sampled hiphop rather than audio qualities. It’s just that today, people just think “looped jazz sample + beat = lofi” Edit: worded sumn weird lol

The man died 3 months after I found out about him. And now I'm forever missing my opportunity to see him play. Maybe in the next life time I'll come back and I can finally watch you play :). Nujabes you made my hellish life come to light. And hours and days of your music until I got out. Thank you

I know this specific event in Tokyo. Before Rona it was held every month at this hotel venue. Foreigner fans that come to visit should try to time it to attend this, even though it's not that common for Nujabes to be played, but the vibe and hip-hop is amazing
