Fun fact they do know each other in the comics due to her temporarily ruling Wakanda with T’Challa. Heck Storm is still on good terms with Wakanda (mostly) since the people there love her and worship her as a goddess.

Kinda part and parcle with who and how she is. Before she joined the xmen/was recruited she played at being a Goddess in Africa/was posessed by a demon (LONG STORY) and her whole attack call schtick is theatricality ya, but it is very much ingrained into her t othe point it's part of how her powers get directed.

Storm's trick is actually more impressive than that. * Storm uses lightning to turn the desert sands into glass. * She then shatters the glass and combines it with a tornado she whips up. * She then unleashed the glass tornado against the Sentinels, who are completely shredded. Now, THAT is being creative with your powers.

Yeah a lot of media I feel like can't show many being as powerful as they are since then it would trivialize any threat afterwards (or they have to escalate) like knowing Iceman froze hell once would make him seem like he is fighting way below his "weight class" if he then deals with normal anti-mutant human asshats

This whole scene was one of the most epic things created. The direction, the music, it blows me away. This show has done so many incredible things in only 2 episodes. The way the team works together but also showcases how badass they are alone is amazing. Especially Storm and Cyc getting their due.
