Keep the Vids coming legend! Would love to see some more on the nitty gritty of they way you are testing (like how you bracket, how you set goals for the day, what gets ya stoked). Would also love to see some training/race nutrition. Keep em coming!!

thanks, mate! some sick ideas right there. honestly this wasn't super crazy meticulous with the details. Planning on doing a video with Jake again along with Mark Scott on a proper suspension set up day later in the year. It'll be a cool one with data logging box and all the jazz.

Quality video. Seeing the process of dialing the bike in is really interesting too. I've ridden there a few times now and it looks different at them speeds! Look forward to future vids.

Interesting to see the process. I use the Sagly app to record suspension settings - helps keep track of changes in a slightly more structured way.

Jake definitely spinning up faster on the exits from complex sections, generally without pedalling, so that’s just weight, windage, wheels, tyres/pressure and bearing physics. Only about 6 interacting variables!

Just riding flats for now. I used power pedals by Garmin for my previous video though (if that’s what you mean)

For the settings I got to it didn’t work as well as I had hoped. The little amount of kickback on the mega seemed to somehow help push back Into my feet and stopped my feet coming off the pedals on occasion. I’m going to try it again with clips. It definitely gives a move supple feel which normally correlated with better traction.

how much sag are you using? I've got a Trek remedy with 17% progression also and was keen to know how the coil feels there

My sag comes in at 30% but it is on the soft side for a bike a lower progression %. I think 25 - 30% is good depending on rider speed and tape of terrain.

@@innesgrahambike tx I've got a cascade link to make the bike 155mm travel or 25 progression or 168mm travel and 17% progression ahah :) I guess gonna test it and see tx one more time PS the footage is great - one of the best POVs on YT

How are you running only 50 psi in the fork? You weigh 55kgs or something? 😅

Hahaha it’s set up pretty progressive but also like I mentioned, the whole bike was set up for pretty average paced riding and coaching. We added a fair amount of pressure to that by the end of the day as the pace increased. I’m 73kg on a good day. 👊🏻
