Hi! Thank you for the additional info. I did measure my cylinder upfront to avoid surprises but I didn’t knew either that extensions where available. Like you I love the Nuki and can’t understand any longer how one would do without 😂 looks almost if I worked for them as pre-sales guy as I’m always speaking about how great it is 🤭😇🤣

As I understand, it’s like doors with no handle outside where you also need to turn a key in order to pull the latch and yes this works with Nuki. I show it in my comparison video between the Nuki 3.0 vs Nuki 3.0 Pro. Auto-lock always works but will be even more secure together with the door sensor so it only locks when the door is really closed.

Ik bedoel hoe makkelijk - of moeilijk- is het om het uit het portaal te halen (of dus gewoon "te stelen" :-) ) - Is het lastig om de batterijen van de keypad te verwisselen?

Het geluid is hoorbaar en klinkt een beetje als een staafmixer zoals iemand in de comments al opmerkte maar is zeker niet irritant. Van buiten hoor je het nog net en weet je dat binnen inderdaad de deur op slot/open gaat. In een gang met veel echo pal naast een slaapkamer om 5u ‘s ochtends is misschien geen humor 😂 maar dan kan je altijd nog manueel draaien. De keypad zit met 3m tape maar wel over de hele achterkant en ja dat is vast. Zo vast zelfs dat ik een beetje wou corrigeren maar dat lukte niet meer. Goed mikken dus 😄 stelen kan natuurlijk altijd want de keypad zelf zit gewoon op de achterplaat geschoven. Maar… je hebt een levenslange anti-diefstal garantie. Als hij weg is krijg je met de aangifte en de aankoopbon gewoon weer een nieuwe van Nuki. En eerlijk vrees ik er ook niet zo voor. Wat moeten ze ermee..? Het vervangen van de batterijen is overigens ook op die manier. Gewoon even omhoog schuiven en hij komt los van de achterplaat. 😉

Dank U voor de uitleg. Als je vroeg van huis gaat, is het geluid wel een dingetje. Ook jammer dat er geen Homekey beschikbaar is.

Graag gedaan. Dat geluid hangt natuurlijk wat van de setting af. Mijn koffiezetapparaat maakt meer lawaai bv 😉 Homekey is er (nog) niet maar je kunt natuurlijk ook met automations werken. Zo kun je ergens een nfc tag plakken die bij het scannen hetzelfde doet. Maar beiden vereisen dat je de telefoon uithaalt als je thuiskomt. Met de keypad is dat totaal niet meer nodig. Een keyfob in de auto leggen is ook nog een optie. Op de iPhone en Apple Watch zijn er overigens ook handige widgets/complications beschikbaar.

Hi! Thank you. Yes this is possible. If you watch my Nuki smart lock 3.0 vs 3.0 pro comparison video you will see i have this exact setup on my front door 😉. For opening you have the option “unlock” and “open door” with the last one it acts exactly if you would use a key 😉

You’re welcome! 😉 yes it will but… in order to lock your door you need to raise the leaver, right? So therefore you need to be there to raise it, after giving Nuki the “lock” command. Then it will close without any problem. There’s a French guy with a long detailled video as well who shows it on his leaver mechanism door. To open it this action isn’t necessary so the Nuki works as usual. So, you will be able to unlock/open the Nuki even when not at home. You won’t be able to lock the door when not in front of it but honestly, when does that happen? 😉

Yes you can if you use the 3.0 pro OR the 3.0 with a bridge. The bridge (built in or not) is needed for this remote access.

You have to leave the key on the door on the inside or have a cylinder with a knob as the Nuki cylinder has. Becauce all the smart lock does, is turning the key/knob 😉

So, can you set up in the app that the door automatically opens (not unlocking) when Bluetooth connected? Or can i use google assistant with my galaxy smart watch and say for instance: hey google, open the door?

@GeMallieerde the second step, the confirmation can be disabled. You could also create a shortcut so I guess it should work but check with Nuki support to be sure 😉

Hi! Thank you so much! Just checked and yes you can turn it off but... For HomeKit you will need the WiFi connection, their Matter support will only be released later this year. This said, I charged my Pro fully on July 1th and today I'm still at 40% on a door we use daily (10 interactions a day on an average base). With WiFi enabled that is. Hope this helps and... Leuk om te horen, bedankt Cor. Ik vind het zalig! Wel wennen om zonder sleutels buiten te gaan maar uiteindelijk (en tegen alle eerste reacties om mij heen in) geeft het juist een zeer veilig gevoel omdat ik altijd de bevestiging krijg/heb dat de deur op slot zit én ook bericht krijg als deze ontgrendeld/vergrendeld wordt. Handig, weet ik zo ook ineens wanneer de kinderen thuis komen bijvoorbeeld. Ik heb nog geen enkele keer gehad dat het niet werkte of haperde. Enkel de vingerafdruk is soms niet in één keer herkend als de keypad nat geregend is. Maar dat lijkt me normaal. Gisteren bij het thuiskomen met de boodschappen ook in de auto al de deur geopend zodat deze direct op een kier komt. Konden we zo naar binnen stormen. Kortom, ik wil niet meer terug naar een sleutel. 😉

Kindervingers is geen probleem. Code is sowieso zes cijfers en geen 0 dus dat is even zoeken naar iets makkelijks om te onthouden.

Hoi! Bedankt! 🙏🏻 Je kunt enkel de sleutel gebruiken als je een safety lock hebt inderdaad maar die vind je meer en meer. Wie weet is je huidige cilinder al zo eentje 😉 én dat is enkel in worst case als back up scenario hè. Is in principe nooit nodig als je zorgt dat de Nuki nooit zonder batterijen komt te zitten. Maar sommigen leven graag in the edge 😂. Meestal heb je ook nog een alternatieve deur, bv achterom en kun je ergens op een strategische plaats buiten een sleutel verstoppen « voor het geval dat ». Better safe than sorry zeg maar. The Nuki is niet geschikt voor buiten dus hij moét aan de binnenkant zitten. Voordeel is natuurlijk dat niemand zo ook ziet dat je een smart lock hebt. Indien sommigen dat toch buiten monteerde dan was dat ofwel enkel voor de video. Want door op de Nuki te drukken gaat het slot altijd open… buiten monteren staat dus gelijk aan de deur gewoon open zetten 😉 nu… ik publiceer zeer binnenkort nog een video van de We.Lock fingerprint waarbij het echte slot wel van buiten zit. Stay tuned zou ik zeggen.

@@ChasnStar 😄 nu is een safety lock de grootste kost niet. In de bouwmarkt zijn er al vanaf €40 dacht ik. En het is echt zou zalig om nooit maar aan de sleutels te hoeven denken… 😉

keypad 3.0 doesn't exist yet ;) It's the keypad 1.0 that only has numbers. The 2.0 has touch ID.

Hi! If you’re WiFi connection is good at your mountain house, yes you can! 😉 there’s a difference between unlocking the door en opening the door. What you want is the last one and Nuki can do this. If you check my comparison video of the Nuki 3.0 vs the 3.0 pro I show this on my front door. 😉

Hi! I don’t think that there are solutions with the original cylinder and key that make less noise. This said, it is quite loud on video but on real life it isn’t that bad. My coffee machine makes way more noise while grinding beans 😉

@shinvergil thank you! 😉 then you could opt for the Nuki Smart Lock 3.0 That one does not has the bridge so there is only Bluetooth connectivity out of the box… however it’s just the anytime/anywhere that is so pratical. Is it is just because you are afraid to be hacked or something, know that a good brand as Nuki (and no I’m not part of the company 😂) will protect your privacy. Everything is encrypted and works with answer/response encryption like online banking. They have a great FAQ section on their site about this as well. This said it works without internet and thus within Bluetooth range (5-10m).

I totally understand if you have this experience. However I have it now for a month maybe? And it never failed on me once! Wifi can always be an issue but with here I never had such problems neither. And no, i’m not sponsored by them at all, I had to pay hard money 😂. Did you try to factory reset and install it temporarily in another home just to test? Customer service usually takes a bit up to 24hrs to reply, I guess it’s a very small team. 😉

@@LaPalmeraie0032 you have been lucky. Auto Unlock works off Bluetooth hence no reason to not work 100% Locks have been reset ect, waste of time. Read reviews on Amazon with many people having same problem with Auto Unlock feature!

Well auto unlock works on geofencing, right? I don’t use that as I want to save battery and for the case I would loose my phone. However, I know that with my Eufy products, geofencing only works when the app is open. Completely useless and non realistic of course 🙄. But the basic use throughout wifi (HomeKit & Siri) and Bluetooth (keypad & fob) was flawless since I installed and I have nothing to win or loose by saying this. I only know two other Nuki users in real life; one with the Nuki 2.0 and who is very happy and uses geofencing all the time (didn’t want my Fob for free 😂) and my son that stayed in Malaga (Spain) very recently with a Nuki keypad on the main entrance and one on the appartement door and but worked flawless for the whole stay.

Auto Unlock failed twice again last week, couldn’t even open the door via Nuki app, had to use Apple HomeKit. Bluetooth was not connected to lock for some reason. Nuki are sending me a bridge for free as Wi-Fi connection drops constantly hence lock can’t be controlled remotely unless using HomeKit.

Very curious but annoying for you! I still don’t experience any lag or trouble and we do use that door with 4 persons very often. Hope you find a solution 😉

Hi! Burglars want a quick discrete entry&exit. Smashing a double glass window isn’t easy nor silent/quick. Speaking from experience 😄 so if they are willing to break a window to enter, it isn’t the smartlock that will make that decision. And, thanks to the smartlock you know (and they know that you know) that the door is being manipulated. 😉

Dat valt mee hoor, met een beetje Google werk vind je het anders ook wel en camera’s en andere beveiliging genoeg hier 😇 dus indien iemand gefeatured wil worden op YT…. 😜
