Subbed! Very nice review I just copped this mixer......I'm old school vinyl so I officially making the leap to Serato and might even get some control vinyl. Wish me luck, I'm an old head trying new tricks lol

Thanks for subscribing! This mixer really does make it easy for vinyl DJs to transition to Serato. Definitely get the control vinyl. That’s what makes the mixer so powerful.

After buying and using this mixer I can say that its pretty good with the exception of 2 things.. 1. You cant edit/set/adjust the tempo of effects from the mixer. A feature Numark has on their $200 Mixtrack Pro FX controller. At this price point I feel that it should have been implemented on the Scratch as there is plenty of room on the Scratch and Numark has already done it on other hardware so it would not have been that hard to implement. 2. You cant browse/load tracks from the mixer. Well, you can browse your way into a crate but once your in a crate you cant back out and your stuck in ONE crate. Using your laptop/pc you can do the above things in Serato using a keyboard and mouse/trackpad etc, but for those that dont want to mess with their computer/laptop when mixing this could be a deal breaker. Especially when these 2 things could easily have been implemented on the Numark Scratch. Just my 2 cents.

I agree. I think there were some things that were purposely left off since we know Numark already has the capability to implement them. I think the library scroll on the Scratch is poorly executed. They could have used the same system that they use on the DJ2Go2.

Nice demo! I assume that was the stock x-fader? Just wondering as I see all these other youtubers acting like OMG you have to put a better innofader in it because the cut in is a couple of MM too far in, but it seems like you were not having any issues with the cut-in to rock some pretty trick cuts on it. At first was all gung-ho to get a replacement fader as everyone bags on the included one, but I think I am going to try it out stock for a while first and see how it does and maybe upgrade. If the unit I have on the way performs as well as yours does, I see no reason to waste the bucks on it.

Thanks! Yes, that was the stock fader and it works well for me. It's a mini innofader. I understand what you mean, I don't feel the need to upgrade the fader on this mixer. It gets sharp enough for me. I've had a full sized innofader on my Vestax 05 and I didn't feel like it was a must have.

@@logisticalstyles I have seen folks complain about channel bleed from the fader but maybe that's just the luck of the draw on a defective one. Getting mine today hoping I can just rock it as is I'm tired of upgrading things for marginal gains :)

@Logisticalstyles Complete newbie question. Hopefully getting lmk 2 and this mixer. For USB setup is it, usb to laptop. Phono's both deck obv. Is the amp master or booth. Sorry for dumb question

Hey, I used a USB hub to connect the laptop and Rane Twelve to my computer. I'm not sure about your second question though. The mixer has a master and a booth output with separate control knobs for each.

First of all Great review. I was debating between the mixars duo and the numark For the most part it’s like numark is giving you more for your money compared to other mixers in this price range ($450-$600). I’m ridin with this one. Secondly I’m a new subscriber and I look forward to more reviews and contents, one other thing, the scratchin was dope, made me wanna go blow the dust off my 12’s and get busy. lol

the cue points sometimes act up .Not much just sometimes.Maybe once every fifty times i use it.Its usually easily fixed just delete my cue points and quickly put them back.Tricky if your in the middle of a set but not the end of the world as its a rare thing and one can work around a minor issue like that .Otherwise its reliable well built and great fun with a good value feature set.

I just bought that mixer for £200 =$240 the guy i bought it from changed the pad led lights to match seratos colour lights, he also sold me a sp1 with the same modified pad lights

My cue points work with my RANE and Serato DJ pro but they don’t light up on the mixer...ever have this happened?

Every once in a while I have an issue where the cue points don't light up. If I cycle through sampler and loop roll then the lights will come back on when I return to cue mode.

What kind of deckplates are you having installed on your Technics 1200s in this video? I' m thinking of getting a pair from Zomo. I have decksavers for my 1200s and I' m afraid that these won't fit anymore if I put deckplates on my 1200s. THX!

I painted my Technics that color. I've used deckplates in the past and wasn't very happy with them. I'm actually considering repainting these decks again.

Can you use both analog and control vinyl with this mixer - at the same time? In other words - can I have a record playing on one deck and mix in with control vinyl playing a digital track on the other deck? 🤷♂️

Yes, each channel can be independently switched between the computer and phono inputs.

My cross fader cuts the same sound on both sides and the left fader cuts the sound when on top up position Help pls

Sounds like there may be a software setting that needs to be adjusted. Is this a new mixer? If the crossfader needs to be replaced, it is very easy to do.

@@logisticalstyles u know i think the problem is inside the mixer because the cross fader cuts Perfect but on both sides the same sound u know and when i reverse it does the same. And for the left fader?? Idk what to do when it's all up position no sound then i move little bit down the sound appears. Sorry my english big up from Paris France Bro 🤙😉

For instance let's say I'm playing a acapella on the left turn table and on the right turntable I want to change to different beats that I've looped and saved in the 4 buttons on the mixer?

Sorry I just saw your reply. That might be possible but you would need to be quick with the controls to activate the saved loop after loading the instrumental track.

Yeah, with the SL1 you are going to be very limited. When I had an SL1 I had to record to another computer or record into the mic input of the SL1. It wasn’t the best way to record but it worked once you got your levels right.
