not sure if pwede po itong solution.. This is applicable lang po sa even consecutive numbers. ang nasa question is 8 even consecutive numbers with the average of *167* count the numbers before at after which is *166* at *168* next since 8 consecutive *even* numbers, bilang ako ng 4 na pababa at 4 na pataas : 160,162,164,166, *167* ,168,170,172,174 ** note that 160+162+164+166+168+170,172,174 = 1336 then divide by 8 = *167* (which is the average) then find yun second largest number sa series: *172* coach lyqa, ang dami ko na po natutunan kakapanuod ng mga videos mo :)

Big help for us coach lyqa...another technique sa mga kagaya ko na hilong Hilo pagdting sa equation...sa paghahanap NG "x" cguro Kaya ako nahihirapan Kasi Wala akong naging X sa buhay ko nag iisa Lang xa.hahahaha whugot pa more...aja!

Ma'am Lyqa, meron na po bang instances na na postpone ang civil service exam dahil sa sama ng panahon or baha?

Maam Lyqa in last part, can we just do 8x-40 = (167)(8) divide both side by 8 since it can be divided by 8 8x-40/8 = (167)(8)/8 x-5=167 x=167+5 x=172 I think we can use this in times that both sides can be divided by same number without having fraction as an answer. So we can easily solve without calculator. Thank you po maam always and goodluck to us UPCAT takers

Second largest yung hinahanap, so basically yung x+2 is yung largest number which is greater than x (the second largest).
