In this session I explain in detail the powerful combination of symbolic and numeric computing available in the Wolfram Language (Mathematica). We will take a look at the some of the major Numerical Functions available for Integration, Differential equations, equation solving, Linear Algebra and sparse arrays, a direct comparison of traditional and hybrid methods, finding local and global optimization with constraints.
A detailed look at the Hybrid Methods (Uniquely possible with symbolics + numerics) & how to watch Algorithms using EvaluationMonitor and StepMonitor.
