It was an honor drafting to the left of you in this draft sir. I took that Ojer and went heavy into white and eventually green as well. Got 2 Reliquarys, then right after you said there was nothing to sacrifice you passed me two Market Gnomes right on schedule. I’m plat 2 right now. Still haven’t played any games with my draft deck. I’ll report back after I go 0-3 haha

Altisaur being the GOAT in multiple decks is probably my favorite surprise of the format.

The statline is just so minmaxed for this format. It stops and eats a vast majority of the most meta threats a deck running one would fear and still helps close the game without having to get through, all at a reasonable cost. It also can dodge much of the removal those decks run. If B/G was a strong meta contender, Altisaur would be so much weaker.

@@qwormuli77 Well yeah.. Stalls flyers real good and does not dies to abrade or cosmium blast alone. Dies to sawblades but that's uncommon and join the dead - but that might not be played in the strongest decks. Dies to quicksand though..

I'm sorry but I've played the white Ojer and it does WORK. There is actually a ton of token production in this set and a vigilance 6/6 is just so hard to deal with. I can't even tell you how many times I've cast crewmate and whiffed lol. Your deck would've been crazy going into white/blue also. But obviously you are the professional haha

Well - 6 mana means you need ramp/removal to make it good.. Luckily white has the best removal and pairing with red or green for ramp makes sense.

The pain of seeing you pass the Ojer and then getting offered a Guide-Mural directly on Pick 2. Would've loved to see that deck but I do understand how Ojer isn't a bomb per se.

I’ve learned this game takes zero skill it’s 99% RNG and what you top deck has nothing to do with skills at all kind of disgusting reslly but that’s a card game
