Agreed on the bonus sheet. Set is fun but the bonus sheet feels way too powerful compared to some past ones. WOE is a better spot for the bonus sheet to be at imo, should be mostly weird build arounds and not outright powerful cards.

unironically had a game where my opponent manadrained my big play and then double spelled on his turn dropping a creature and casting fractured identity on my only threat. Genuinely feels like vintage cube sometimes, only that in vintage cube pretty much all cards are busted, and here you often have these weird games where one person is playing a fair midrange game casting a bunch of 3/3s for 3 and the other person has stuff like mana drain, fractured identity, reanimate or oko. obviously the set itself, even without the bonus sheet, has some crazy bombs as well, but the bonus sheet cards just lead to so many unexpected blowouts. Like, what are you gonna do, play around a manadrain on turn 2/3? Not discard your 7/7 to search up a land cause the opponent might have reanimate? really a shame, cause I think otherwise this set is pretty great in terms of flavor and gameplay.

That neutralize -1/-1 being instant kinda makes it more usable. I’ve seen it used more as a combat trick that also kills a few 1/1s. Still don’t know if it’s worth drafting or not lol

Pretty funny green black usually graveyard deck. Bu t i had a green white graveyard deck that went 7-0 had 2 burrowfiend two Shepard and two possums. Just keep mulling and returning Shepard to hand with possum and if it dies get it back . Kind of nice synergy to be aware of.

I often think that too. Some days, Arena can be quite frustrating. All you can really do is turn off the game and try again the next day. Otherwise you'll just go mad :D

I suck at drafting. I just don’t pick the right cards and NEVER end up winning more than 1 game. So frustrating that I don’t know why I even try.

Best advice I’ve learned is don’t get married to your first pick. Watch for signals. That’s helped me to win a lot more. Also, don’t get greedy trying to play late game cards. If you try to go late, opponents will beat you with bombs.

I suggest watching Nummy when drafting and pausing before every pick. Then think about what you would take and watch how Nummy argues what he takes. Helps a lot!
