The Vr Game Battle Sisters doesn’t fail to show how powerful they are too

Adepta Sororitas is one of my favorite 40k factions. Because of how over the top they are. They embody the Gothic aesthetic of the Imperium of Man. They have tanks that are also church organs, that drown the battlefield in music and heavy artillery. Their faith is so powerful and potent that they can shrug off a significant amount of damage, and make them extremely resistant to psychic attacks despite still being normal humans. And they are outright immune to the corruption of the warp because they believe in the emperor's protection that much.

The Sisters of Battle VR game really does show the ability of the Sisters to overcome odds. I’d highly recommend it if you’re a fan.

From what I remember while sisters have power armour, since they lack the augmentation of space marines they’re much slower and weaker still. So I guess they fit somewhere between imperial guards and actual space marines? Or am I missing something

I would like to learn more about those miracles the sisters can manifest, i know about the living saints, but that part about wounds healing implies your average sister may be able to perform Lesser miracles.

I feel like they have like the powers of orks but not on the orks level, like if they have a lot of faith and believe enough they can regenerate their limbs or something.

When you're a regular human that fights deamons on the daily you're just something else. I remember my time in the army I'm confident in saying that the women were tougher than any of us for sure.

There are saints so full of faith that they can blow up tanks with one supernaturally lucky bolter round

The miracles are even their core mechanic in the tabletop game. There are some situations that allow you to roll "miracle-dice" and you keep the dice with their respectiv number. You can now replace other rolls with the already determint miracle-dice, to perform a "miracle", by taking the randomness out of your roll.

Nuns with guns even had Agent 47 sweating and he was a born assassin

It did not backfire. A woman only army for the church was the intended result of the 'no men under arms' rule. The Age of Apostasy and Goge Vandire was ended by The Brides of The Emperor (the sisters of battle precursors) and the preacher Sebastion Thor who saw that the church was way too big and powerful to not have some sort of armed force but still needed to be punished. The 'no men' rule was intentionally taken literally by everyone. Also fun fact: The Sisters of Battle are probably one of the only factions in the Imperium that the Custodes can come as close to fully trusting over any other faction in the Imperium. The reason? When the Custodes tried to tell the leaders of the Brides of the Emperor that Goge Vandire was not blessed by the Emperor but was in fact a crazy, crackpot piece of shit, the brides basically called them heretics and tried to attack them and only stopped when taken to the Golden Throne. The Custodes basically saw this as incredibly stupid but also as UNFLINICHINGLY LOYAL as one could be to their lord (which is a HUGE thing for Custodes, especially after the Heresy for obvious reasons) that they basically went: "Damn these bitches stupid, but damnit all if they ain't loyal hoes! We are definitely keeping these girls around."

So to sum it one could perhaps say "MY FAITH IS MY SHIELD"

Fun little tidbit: they hate serving along the Marines due to them technically being mutants, but adore serving alongside the Guard for their bravery

From what I remember, most sisters of battle dont look like the ones in these pictures. Fighting battles with faith rather than genetic modifications has served them well, but it often came at the cost of being horribly scarred and deformed. The ones in these photos either have not seen many battles, or are just that good at dodging.

I can imagine it's only a matter of time before humans figure out the source of the ork's reality bending abilities, and are able to replicate it directly in humans to have them perform some crazy shit on the field of battle

One of my favorite lore pieces is that demons fear them because their faith is so strong that they truly believe they are channeling the Devine powers of the emperor thus when they kill a demon, it actually dies, not just sent back to the warp, they're basically low key orcs who's belief is so potent, it becomes a reality

The Sisters of Battle also have clever marketing - they take their least butch and most girly pretty members and put them in front of the cameras/classical painters/media in any Battle, so that the popular image is of a modelling sorority, while the big burly heifers get the job done.
