The character is totally captured in her line, her attack, her port de bras, and epaulement! Well done!

Hi, this was in 2007 the last time Julio Bocca danced, so he finished his carrier by dancing for free to all of us Argentinian people win company of best dancers in the world in Avnia 9 de Julio, the most popular avenue in Buenos Aires. Over 200.000 people attended to this magnificent show, in my opinion after being there i can tell you it was unforgettable!!!! If you want to see one of my favourites acts, i recommend you to see... Pas de Deux Don Quijote: Julio Bocca y Tamara Rojo

This is an AMAZING performance, even more so as I've never seen Alina Cojocaru as Odette/Odile. She embodies it all - brilliance yet never hard or brittle.

Gorgeous Ballerina! Pirouette turns and lines remind me of S. Guillem (save for the blooper😬@ 7:31-7:33 a clean single suffices there to avoid that type of moment...it's a gamble tho cause Alina C. is obvi FEARLESS). The conductor must've needed an immediate bathroom BREAK??!!! He is HAULING *SS musically. I've NEVER heard it played with that much urgency!!! Professionals HERE INDEED to keep up!!! Bravo Julio B.!!! Thank YOU for your inspiration!👏👏👏🙌

No entiendo como todos se están matando por discutir tanto sobre Alina cuando Julio Bocca estuvo perfecto, incluso a esa edad y haciendo pasos que sólo él se atrevería a hacer en un escenario. Bravo por los dos.

Soooo much better than any of the Russian versions I've watched recently. Alina is both quick and precise, making her performance so much more exciting! I swear there were twice as many moves in the performance as well. It's going to be rough watching any more of the other ones now, so boring...

i was reading some newspaper stories about this night and none of them mentioned alina, but rather the LA times said it was Nina Ananiashvili. personally i thought something looked "off" in alina's dancing. some uncharacterisic stumbles even. i suppose we could ask alina!

I like about Alina what I liked about Makarova---itty bitty ballerinas dancing BIG. Bocca looks like he's working really hard on the variation, but that was a gorgeous coda. Any info on the venue and company?
I like about Alina what I liked about Makarova---itty bitty ballerinas dancing BIG. And she has that combination of flexibility, beautiful feet, and a strong center that give you turns and balances but also clean, big extensions. Maybe her interpretation of Odile is supposed to be closer to Odette's personality to deceive the Prince. Odette was so timid and shy to begin with, it does seem strange that she would suddenly change into a passionate, manipulative seductress over night. It's all about interpretation. BTW, Alina executes the choreography perfectly.
@nakis7412 жыл бұрын
Alina Cojocaru is a graceful, delicate dancer and she can be exquisite with the right part as "Giselle" or "Onéguine". However she lacks that "dark" side in her personality which is essential in ballets like "Swan Lake" (she is not a convincing black swan at all) or "Manon" by MacMillan to name just a few.
@xX4CosmicLoveXx12 жыл бұрын
Leave it up to a man to not see the difference between a white swan and a black swan, like wtf.

Look at the choreography. Odette is flustered, timid, and afraid of the Prince in the beginning, and then in the end she dies of a broken heart. Not exactly a strong, aggressive heroine is she? Odile's choreography is more aggressive and seductive. They're very different. So what am I "confunding"?
