ZDoggMD, I totally get what your saying. After having 2x visited the darkside during brain cancer chemo3 & 4 last summer on my own, cause sometimes there was only one nighttime nurse for the wing. The first time, I looked at her between my short breaths, shaking heartbeat and dry heaving, as she was looking up and down the hallway where the bells are going off and light flashing. And while hanging on the sink, I told her to go, that I would deal with my problems. Cause shit, I wanted to live and I was going to do whatever needed to be done. I just thought about what I needed to do second by second, small, slow breaths one by one. And 2 hoursish later while still hanging on to that sink, I had increased my breathing to feel normal, my heart didn't feel like it was going to explode and my dry heaving had stopped. I didn't see a nurse til 8am that morning. The second time it happened, afterwards I sent messages to all of my loved ones. The weirdest messages they tell me, I can't remember exactly what. Happy Mother's Day from Ontario.

We had to dose lovenox for a patient that big. Several calls were made to get the right dose.

@@kerrybunny Umm, usually managed it solo by putting in trendelenburg & pulling on drawsheet by standing on stool. But there WERE sometimes... None of us like being out w/back injury & then unit is a Nurse down. To repay, covered their patients, cleaned up incontinence mixed/hung drips- whatever they asked in return. Fair is fair. I appreciate the help they gave when I was just too low body mass to pull it off. ❤🤗
