@@mohammedrahman4309 Mate, the fact that they charge you a lot doesn’t mean anything. Most of your money are for the service and for the notoriety of the place you are going to eat. If you would try to remake the same plate in your place, you would spend a third of the expense of the restaurant, without anyone doing the useless movement she/he is doing. These things are not changing the taste of the food you’re eating. Now imagine cutting this baklava as a normal person, with care, putting the slice on your plate and spread the cream on it; all of it without the fake “style”. Voilat! A nice and homogeneous slice of baklava without all the pieces falling apart because someone cut it with “style”. 👍🏻

Gimmicks like that just want me make me go " just give me my food and go away" if I need a waiter at my table I'll make sure I get one when I need one. Idk about y'all but I like minimal interruption from staff while dining. Usually I give my waiter or waitress a time frame or let them know ahead of time a signal that I need service. Other than that I tell them to just leave me to my meal. If they follow this instruction I leave a large tip, if not... Very little.

To be fair, the waiters here earn relatively decent wages as a result of how high the prices are and therefore how much they can earn from tips in turn, but it doesn’t excuse the fact that this is just stupid
