I really enjoyed her performances but she clearly came to American Idol with a repertoire of rehearsed songs down to the costume and dance moves. She was not at all receptive to doing anything outside of that list which really limited her ability to connect to the audience. She's too cabaret if you ask me. She belongs in Vegas...but as a side show, not the main act. Sorry Nutsa - I'll miss you but I wish you came more open-minded/flexible for the US audience.

The best voice doesn’t always become successful. Look at Harry Styles. He has an average voice, but a lot of charm and stage performance. It’s not 1 formula. It’s whatever works as a package.

@Georgian Georgian Yes, I know she performed elsewhere but you can't be a "professional" or you're ineligible to compete on American Idol - so whatever experience she had it didn't rise to that level. Nutsa revealed she was rehearsed TWICE - both with Adam Lambert and the girl she partnered with in Hollywood week. Nutsa said she couldn't learn a new song in such short notice so she will just do what she's already rehearsed. That's why she went to bed - she already knew the routine - the other girl was forced to join in as Nutsa's sidekick cuz Nutsa would only perform something she already knew and brought custom costumes for. Her partner, the meatball girl, although she looked wretched for I put a spell on you.....her voice was WAY better than Nutsa. But, cuz she was a b-tch and didn't look the part, she got cut. Nutsa messed it up for her and Nutsa messed it up for herself. We will forget about Nutsa, I was already getting tired of her theatrics.

@Georgian Georgian I'm not sure I understand you. ;-) I think Nutsa is darling and very talented. I am just saying she came a bit too rehearsed and inflexible to try something new. I think if she had taken taken Adam Lamberts suggestion on that last song "show must go on" performance, I think she would still be on the show. The other contestants are a bit boring to me so it's a loss to see her go. She's not a natural talent but she works hard to nail it. If you watch some of her performances from years ago, they are rough. Whereas some of the other contestants could "sing the telephone book" without trying and it's magic....unrehearsed natural talent. Nutsa is not that unfortunately but she still is a lot of fun.

Exactly, she stands out from the rest of the contestants so much it really felt like she has nothing to do there. It almost felt like seeing a big super star among a bunch of karaoke singers.

You hit the nail on the head right there and it really hurts to see the good ones go home so early. Nutsa will be the one that I remember the most from this year and her impact and her performances made American Idol watchable for me for the first time since 2009 or so. Nutsa will open up the floodgates for more European singers to come to American Idol, they saw that if she did it, maybe they can too. I wouldn't be shocked if Nutsa is mentoring contestants HERSELF someday if American Idol keeps going.
