Never a contract introduction through Loretta Lynn being her grandmother? Loretta Lynn is an icon. Her grandmother Odd. She had to go on American idol? Her grandma never helped her career? Why not? Her grandmother was Loretta Lynn. An extremely wealthy and famous lady that could have financially helped her and had many resources that could have considered her as an aspiring talent if she was worthy. The "baby talk" sound to her voice is not that good. Let's hear her sing some Evanescence! Not happening. She couldn't do it! If her famous grandmother didn't help her musical career pursuance then there is a reason why she had to go on this show to gain fame.

I know people are going to hate on me. But just my opinion. I question why she was never offered any chance of a musical career through her Grandmother or her connections. If Loretta Lynn is your grandmother wouldn't she have plenty of opportunities besides American idol prior from other resources? It doesn't make any sense. Her family obviously also must have the money to promote her and help fund her career financially. Truthfully I don't find her that extraordinary and that might be a reason. She always sounds like she sings with a "baby talk" sound. Let's hear her sing some Amy Lee like Abi did. She couldn't do it.

What I love about Kayko’s performances-especially this one-is that he performs more like a guest star than a contestant. Totally in the moment with no inhibitions. He didn’t need to win Idol-he just needed to get exposure for his talents on a bigger scale and those weeks on Idol did that.
