Excellent Nuwan. All that was needed was a little bit of green moss on the rocks near/in the water to complete the painting. Those boulders would definitely have some sort of green growth on them.

It is very common for flowing streams..rivers to not have moss growth. Water fluctuations due to rain..run of and minerals present in the stream often prevent such growth from occurring. Peace

@@NickPenlee I think you're nit-picking. This could be one of many Scottish rivers I know where the water rises and deposits soil/silt on the rocks and when river level drops, the sun/wind dries the rocks to that dusty, uniform appearance. To me this appears very true to nature. Lovely painting, I very much enjoyed the video.

"Nit-picking"? I call it 'airing my opinion'; something which is increasingly becoming more difficult to do. Nuwan, as an artist, will understand the need to acquire a 'thick skin' from time to time!

This is a beautiful painting. The Cash La Poudre river in the “narrows” white water in spring runoff. Would be an awesome challenge. Make for a painting with extreme movement and beauty.
