Bro you have to remove the protective coating of the wok from the factory and season it... You're cooking toxic chemicals. Btw the rubber handle slips off and you can season the wok in the oven.

No seasoning of the wok? Plus too much sauce in the, rice looks mushy. Pour sauce around the rice onto the wok

I’ve been on the fence about buying this induction cooktop. This was a nice review and I think helped to tip me towards going ahead and getting it when I can afford it

I'm thinking that the wok needed to be at a considerably higher heat than 375 degrees thus avoiding a mushy looking rice.

this wok is not non stick , no matter what you do with it , it will stick like hell, very hard to clean remove burnt stuff on this wok, i don't think season it can make it non-stick

The only complaint I had is you can't toss the food for more than 3 seconds without the cooktop turning off itself

You might have a defective unit. They say the autoshutoff is supposed to kick in after 10 seconds of no contact with the wok.

I bought it for $149.99 from Amazon last week. It has jumped up in price to $199.99 this week on amazon. You can get it from the company's official site for $159.99 at the moment.

After I'm done using it, I rub some oil on the wok to protect it from rust

@@EatwithHank I have the same wok. The wok come shipped with a protective coating over the carbon. The instruction manual clearly says to wash with soap and water and season before your first use. Before adding oil, when you are heating it up, the bottom has a blueish color. I think that's the chemical coating burning. Mine never did that, but I washed and and seasoned mine before my first use.

Amazon $199 last week. I like it. Not sure if I love it however. It is seeming to not be able to retain the high heat. It heats very quickly. Performing the seasoning was the first indication that the heat isn’t able to maintain, the surfaces that are in contact do get hot, but an inch above that area (being the circular shape of the heating element) can’t really get hot enough. Tilting the wok should be enough but it’s out of roundness means the surfaces are not in contact For the most part I think I am pleased, but cooking anything more than a one serving portion seems to be a fault.

@@STV-H4H That’s wok cooking. You want the sides hot but nothing like the center. You can then move stuff to the sides.
