Valeu Paulo, obrigado :) É que na vida real é assim né? TS9 é a principal referência pra impulsionar amps ou outros pedais. A gente liga o TS9 já sabendo que vai dar certo haha Pedais de drive que sejam bons como ele nessa função, dos que eu tenho, destaco o OCD 1.7, o SD-1, o Fulldrive 2 com os switches no modo TS. Às vezes uso o Ts Mini 808 também, apesar dele não ser como o TS9, mas dependendo do que está depois dele dá certo. E note que na cena 3 o preamp já não está tão limpo, só que se subir muito o timbre borra. :) Então tive que usar os pedais. Valeu cara. Vou usar esse preset como principal nas gigs neste final de semana. Abração cara.

@@DirectRecordingGuitar pelejei aqui até chegar nessa combinação usando seu preset sobre o Twin Reverb + TS9 e DS1 + Fender single coil que você já apresentou em vídeo há mais de um ano. No meu setup (guitarra HSS + mixer + fones + caixa ativa) não consegui domar o DS1. Então testei até achar o resultado com o Crunch que salvou (ou o Sur Riot) e outra peleja com equalização (parti da curva do seu Twin Reverb + EQ). Virou meu preset básico desde então. MG-30 com 3 cenas dinâmicas resolveu meu uso; foi quase um salto. Valeu pelas dicas que tem me ajudado a avançar mais!

Another perfect video! How are you monitoring what you are playing: headphones or studio monitors? Could you suggest cheap and good monitors / multimedia speakers for guitar + PC + simulations?

Hey bro, thanks! When I'm programming the MG, I start out using my Yamaha HS5 monitors, then I switch to the Nux PA50s for refining and finalizing the presets because those monitors are FRFR. Then I do quick tests on two or three types of headphones and also on a JBL 1000w RMS active (PA system style) at high volumes to simulate rehearsal and live performance situations. I have everything set up here in the studio, so all I need to do is unplug one cable and plug in another. During recording, I have the MG connected directly to the computer using a USB cable and I only use headphones. Most of the time it's an Audio-Technica Ath-M20x, but I'm thinking of getting an Ath-M50x because many people say that the quality is much better than the M20x, which I already think is great. Fala irmão! Pelo visto deram uma arredonda geral na v5 a ponto de você nem usar o pré eq. Você sentiu alguma melhoria nos amplificadores high gain? Acho a maioria deles com o som meio embolado, acho que o melhorzinho é o mesa e o plexi, o restante parece bem longe do original. Sentiu alguma mudança? Ainda não tive tempo de atualizar. Valeu. Fala cara, pô acho que sim. Eu notei isso desde o primeiro vídeo que fiz usando o V5 ainda na versão beta "Nux MG 30 New PRO SCENE: 3 Amps in One Patch". Um exemplo disso é que nunca gostei do Soldano da MG30, e nesse vídeo eu fiz um timbre de solo e riffs muito rápido na cena 3 e gostei pra caramba, já usei ao vivo diversas vezes e soa muito bem definido em volumes altos. Excelente drive. Também não estou sentindo a necessidade de usar IRs externos e nem de fazer cortes no Pre EQ e no EQ de saída. Apenas ajustando em 5000Hz no Hi Cut dos IRs, o EQ do preamp e se precisar uso a simulação do Boss GE ou o Mxr EQ. Tá lindo haha, pra mim se transformou em outra pedaleira. Ótimo vídeo e timbre, como sempre! Eu comecei a testar o novo firmware e achei a ideia de colocarem um mostrador do sinal d input ótimo, pq a mg30 clipa muito fácil. Agora tive uma surpresa, eu já costumava diminuí o trim do pre eq pra eliminar clipagem e, para meus ouvidos, isso já me corrigiu vários problemas. Só que agora, verificando o medidor, reparo q ele é indiferente ao pre eq (provável pq o pre eq é digital após o conversor analógico/digital). Então eu vejo q minhas duas guitarras sempre batem no máximo do input quando eu sento a mão, mas mesmo assim, se eu diminuir o trim do pre eq, o som parece ficar bom. Vc tem tido problemas de clipagem do input com ela? Tem alguma dica?

Muito obrigado André! Não cara, nunca tive problemas de clipagem no input da MG. Acho que isso se deve aos captadores que escolhi para as minhas guitarras pois não gosto de pickups de alto ganho. Meus humbuckers são de saídas baixas como o Seymour 59 de braço que eu uso na ponte da Fender, Dimarzio Paf Pro e single coils. E talvez, mais importante, seja o padrão que eu regulo a altura dos pickups em relação às cordas em todas as minhas guitarras. Eu não costumo deixá-los muito perto das cordas. Na PRS SE eu tenho um Seymour TB6 na ponte que é um pouco mais forte, tem uma saída mais nervosa, mas eu o regulo lá embaixo, só um pouco mais alto que a moldura. Faço assim há muitos anos, nunca tive problemas com nenhuma pedaleira quanto a isso. Abração cara!

Hey buddy, thanks for your comment! Are you using the final version that's now on Nux's website? There was a bug with the expression pedal in one of the beta versions. But that bug has been fixed in the final version.

There was 5.0.1 beta on FB group, there were bugs in the expression pedal of this version. After a few weeks, Nux fixed it and has now deposited the final 5.0.1 version on the Nux website. Did you get the website version?

How do you configure your Nux output when you plug it into the return of a combo amp? I thing sound great in rear combo with the bass all the way down

Hi Victor, I've never used it that way. I always send the signal directly to the mixer/PA system in live shows and rehearsals, directly to the mixer in third-party studios. In my home studio, I always use the USB cable directly to the computer and use my HS5 monitors, Nux's PA50 Frfr or headphones. But theoretically for me, just change the output. Take it from Studio/Direct and find the option that sounds best like Combo Amp or something else. Thanks for comment bro!

hello ive been wanting to ask, eversince the v5 update, I noticed that all the supposedly "clean" amp sims such as fender reverb becoming a slightly overdriven cab after the update. my previous clean patches all became edge of breakups. is this a normal thing in v5 firmware? what can i do to get rid of it? i tried lowering my trim on the global settings even all the way down but nothing changed on the tone output.

Hi, I didn't notice this because I haven't installed and won't use any of the old patches. Excellent work bro!! just some questions here... I noticed that after upgrading to V5.0.2 the excessive highs or harshness is gone, now I leave the output EQ flat and I trim the input just a bit (using two humbuckers here) because I can hear that every amp starts clipping or distorting too fast with no much gain. What do you regularly change or adjust when using the same patch to use with HH? Thanks in advance 🤜🤛

Thanks bro! That's right. I felt that the treble was "dry" since the first V5 (which had bugs). The first video of the new V5 playlist was made with this version. :) For the first time I made a preset using Soldano because I liked that sound, and before I never liked it. I'm not missing external IRs so far. Regarding HH guitars, I don't use the same preset as in the video without making modifications. In the MG30 VoxAC30 V5 pack that is for sale, I made the same version of the presets for HH guitars. Basically I replaced the Cab used in the video with the Eminence CV75 (High Cut: 5000Hz) and turned off the Boss GE simulator. This makes the HH a little "skinny" and sounds better to me on clean sounds. I'm a stratman so... haha I need to take some fat out of the HH for clean tones, crunch, some ODs :) But I leave them free for riffs, lead tones, jazz tones, etc... Thanks for your comment bro!

@@DirectRecordingGuitar Thanks for the hint! I also noticed that the stock IRs are sounding better than in v4, I was giving them a try and I was really surprised. I'm gonna try the soldano again and see how it sounds now... regarding guitars, strats are a whole different world, I've been using just HH for more than 10 years and tempted to have a strat because is a signature sound in almost everything... every preset made for a strat doesn't work out of the box for an HH, I even think that the manufacturers use mostly strats for testing because I hear every equipment sounds alawys better with a strat :)

Yes. The sound "personality" of strat is unique. And it doesn't even have to be a Fender. Note that I have these playlists using an SX strat, and a Corona strat. Fala Lucas, você quer dizer, ter dois ou três drives no mesmo patch? Veja o vídeo "NUX MG 30: 3 Drive Pedals in One Patch! RAT, TS9 and FUZZ FACE" link da playlist na descrição. Escolhe o Comp, aperta o knob direcional da MG30 ou o botão do mouse pelo Quicktone que o Comp irá mudar pra uma seção de drive, ou a seção EFX pode mudar pra modulações, etc...

Mille grazie amico. Ho appena testato rapidamente le 3 posizioni dello switch, alcune non hanno funzionato come volevo. Quindi, impostando su "Latch" e collegando il cavo al jack di destra (il più vicino all'ingresso DC 9v) ha funzionato come volevo e lo uso così dal 2021. Quindi non so dirti cosa fa ogni posizione perché non ho fatto più test e non ho cercato nel manuale o altrove, era già come volevo (On/Off). So che l'NMP2 è stato progettato per funzionare con diverse apparecchiature Nux e quando è stata creata la MG30, l'NMP2 probabilmente esisteva già ed era utilizzato in pedali di modulazione, delay, ecc... Dedicherò del tempo per analizzarlo più da vicino. Un abbraccio amico.

Hi, pretty easy and it sounded great here. Just turn off the GE7 EQ and replace the cabinet with the CV75 Eminence. Set the IR High Cut to 5000Hz (minimum value). Do this in all three Scenes. It sounded great with my HH guitars. Set the TS9 drive to 20 in Scene 2 Crunch and Turn off TS9 in Scene 03. I think I will make these modifications and include them in the AC30 pack that is for sale with the single coil and humbucker versions. You can find the patch for HH in the Google Drive folder, link in the video description. 👊🔥🎸
