@@zioneatonwell if he ate the candy he would have evolved which means he probably would have 1-shot the greedent but if he didn’t at least he would have been ghost type so counter wouldn’t have even worked. The series of events leading to this death anger me greatly because it was so avoidable had either a) Derek just given mykie some candy or b) they just skipped the test like Derek wanted to in the first place

OP reminded me more of how Araki wrote out Fugo because Purple Haze was too OP, leaving him as the only gang member not becoming good.

That was probably the bloodiest Friendlocke episode. Even when losing to Clay, they only lost 6 compared to the 8 in this episode. Like, you couldn't take a breathe because you never knew when someone was gonna bite it. Kinda wish we got to see more Blorpido, she was strategizing and a pretty fun character. Jay and Gerber were being fucking stupid tho they should in fact go to the die box.

Just want to put it out there, please leave Gerber be! I remember when this happened, Gerber received a lot of genuine hate. At the end of the day, it's a funny Pokemon video and there's no need to ignite that hate to him again, especially going off platform just to make Gerber feel bad. Was it a bad call? Sure. But don't ruin the fun for people in the friendlocke or the community by taking things too seriously. Friendlocke is supposed to be a fun thing for the participants and the audience. Let's not be a bad audience! 💜

Considering this was streamed months ago and Dan during the editing process didn't clarify that anything changed to reveal the madness, I think Gerber and Jay and bare minimum need some form of flack for not explaining themselves, but otherwise...sure.

@@MrLegendofLP but it was a pretty bad plan to begin with. He wanted Mikey to evolve from battling the gym leader, but evolving Mikey to make him immune to the leader's normal type moves was the smarter option.

Collin always gets the short end of the stick in these videos, what did you expect? First with illumise, bullied as one, then not getting much use in season 2, and it's a rerun of season one here. The Ryme gym battle is truly one of the greatest Ls in Friendlocke history. You guys were THIS close to having the entire party dead. The poetic thing about Mykie’s death is that when he died Salty held the rage that makes Primape evolve. It’s story is that it gets so mad it dies and the rage keeps it fighting. Salty literally took all of Mykies rage onto himself at his death

@@Spider8Crakdo you not know what shed tail does? It sets up a substitute and then switches out, giving the sub to another mon. The only moves that hit through substitute are certain sound based moves, not ghost type moves.

I had never recognized the Background has Greedents on it before this, but it's absolutely lore-worthy that this happened to Mikey. If he was being saved for level cap at gym, he wouldn't have fought that battle. If he hadn't, he would've been immune to counter/OH-KOed. So hopefully someone told Salty he could get unlimited focus bands and Sashs from the Deliberd Shops, cuz that might be a saving grace (no pun intended) outside of Grisha

What my favorite part of Mykies death is that everyone is at fault. Salty didn't want Mykie wanted to evolve into a ghost type (witch counter can't hit) and everyone else didn't want to tell salty the correct combination for the gym challenge. I died laughing watching this live! I thought this was the peak of the season for me and thought that it couldn't get any worse but it turns out this was only the beginning. Great job as always! Edit: Meanwhile all the deaths at the ghost type gym were a chain reaction started by Jay and Gerber. Then THAT fight became the funniest in the season. Watching this fight unfold live was insane, I was laughing like a madman!

@@phelps6205 I mean he explained it didn't he? He felt like for the lore it'd be more appropriate if he didn't overlevel Mikey and Mikey evolved during/after the gym battle. I can imagine his anger is as much to himself as it was to the team for not wanting to skip.

@@strifeandharmony6472Well yeah, but being a cheater doesnt really mean youre better. He suffered the consequences for not wanting to evolve them (and each time the pokes didnt evolve they died in this series) and playing fair doesnt make the rest of the team worse

I don't wanna come off as a pervert, but ever since that chess thing where that guy got accused of cheating by receiving instructions through a buttplug via morse code I've been thinking about this. So, and as a joke, I think Salty should do a pluglocke, where his friends send morse codes to his plug, and he has to use a morse reference sheet to slowly decipher the vibrations.

Personally i think the older games (pre gen 7) translate way better into friendlockes because theyre both better for nuzlockes and dont have a 30 hour long cutscene every 2 seconds, have loved the season though
