So beautiful. I love how their bodies also suited the song and dance. There was something to it. So much passion and devotion could be seen.

I loved the dance I think it's cool to do contemporary en pointe but I think they should have dressed the guy in black tights, black ballet shoes, and a white tee shirt because the Banana Hammock is kind of embarrassing for him. Other than that I loved the dance!

Reading the comments make me laugh because you can really see who the dancers are in the comment section , and who either hasn't had a lot of experience with dance or has never dance.

Excellent dancing. The thing is, these dancers aren’t doing anything that professional ballet dancers are already doing when they perform in more traditional ballet venues. Those audience members hooting and hollering in approval wouldn’t go anywhere near a ballet-only ballet performance or, they’d be fidgeting in boredom, not even noticing the miracles of movement and expression that these elite athlete-artists perform.

I dance classical ballet and write poetry, I am not bitter people prefer novels and contemporary ballet; the latter are these times' expressions. Popular taste will always be limited to what speaks of the present times through a modern aesthetic; and what doesn't ask for much effort from the mind.

Movimentos bonitos porém com alguns desequilibrios... os corpos não se encontravam, estava dançando cada um a sua dança e fico desfragmentado o que seria uma dupla. A música não estava adequada a dança ou vice versa.

+Paulette Loinard I agree. I just found it distracted from the dance. It made me feel cold seeing someone without clothes on like that and feel myself wanting a jacket now. But probably one of the producers or stylists told him to do it. These reality type shows like to create drama in spaces where there doesn't need to be any.

+Paulette Loinard It's very common for contemporary ballet dancers to be minimally dressed. They use their body to show emotions, so a costume might get in the way of that, since there's no real story line/characters to get the emotions across. There are dancers that wear tight tops, but I think this is just his preference.

I understand that. Though, I kind of wish he was wearing something else, maybe something longer or not as thick, because honestly, they looked a bit like diapers on him. They weren't flattering, and distracted me from the dance. Dark short form-fitting briefs, or something like that, would have been better.

Haha, I'm here because I google contemporary ballet in order to get some drawing practice. The fact that the dancers wear minimal clothes means I can practice anatomy without having to go to life drawing classes.

What the fuck is this? The dancers aren't feeling the music WOW IM TRIGGERED their stunts are no doubt amazing But the dancers just fukn spoiled the music and the dance So this is modern ballet?....... oh ma gawddddd I'm crying, I feel bad for the future ballet

So, I think both of them are beautiful dancers. However, I don't feel it. Zero connection. plus, if I were she. I would have been extremely upset by Desmonds partenering. There's nothing worse than being in a pas,and having a lacking partener.

this is all about tricks and not about expression. I just think there is either a lack of choreography or too much ornamentation and not enough intellect. Sorry, I am a Wayne MacGregor fan. I like a lot more substance to my contemporary ballet.
