If I was visiting NYC I would likely say WOW to a couple of those views too. But I lived in the heart of Montreal for 30 years and when all you can see out the window is more buildings and rooftops - you pretty quickly begin to ignore it and there is very little about that type of view that will brighten you any sense of stress relief and calm. I now live in a much smaller town with a 10 by 10 deck off my kitchen above my ground floor patio and garden and I have breakfast out side among the tree tops whenever the weather permits. Blue skies, green grass and trees, flowering shrubs and gardens, birds chirping and squirrels dashing - thats a view.

Rent Control laws are largely responsible for these ridiculous rents. Developers do not want to come in to a city with rent control laws, so there is a lack of supply of units in NYC. And there are buildings with seniors paying $500.00 per month, for these same units, so landlords have to jack up the rents on new tenants. Rent control should be illegal. It's a violation of property rights.

Rents are also crazy in cities that don't have rent control. Developers aren't in a hurry to increase stock. When they do build, it's strictly top end price point units.

Did anyone else find it weird that two of the bathrooms were right beside each other in the last apartment?

That could be because it easier on the plumbing to locate them like that. Sometimes in houses that is done because it saves money to place them that way.

In the smaller units where you have 1 or 2 people, I think that dishwashers are a waste of space that could be used for storage.

6-floor walk-up for that price. Fab apartment but you won't have to go to the gym.

I love the apts but i really dont like the rating banner you have at the bottom. It is distracting and obscures the view of apt when I am tryng to focus on what the apts look like.

Yeah that last beauty & the most expensive with all those 5 ☆ ratings, plummeted to a very sad 1☆ when i heard 6th floor walk up, No thanks, strictly for kids with rich parents 😢

I'm a bigger girl so a 6th floor walk up is a no from me too, but some people have no problems and live in those units for years!

The ceilings are so low-oppressive, I ‘m feeling a migraine coming on! 🤯 The bathroom fixtures are deplorable and fake plastic tiling on walls. Terrible places!😢.

The only decent-looking windows, are in the last unit. The windows in all of the other units are really ugly. The black frames, no muntins----they look like prison windows.
