I walk through the Upper East Side during the 2022 Holiday Season. New York is known as a destination for holiday decorations and this neighborhood really brings it out. I start off at the Bloomingdale's Holiday Windows before heading north on Madison Avenue towards the Ralph Lauren Store.

Thank you so much for this wonderful walk through my hometown. I was born and raised in New York and have wonderful memories of taking numerous long weekend walks with my dad . Like the little boy with his mother at 12:20, we walked until all he could do was to carry me on his shoulders. Back in the 1970's, we lived on E. 80th Street, between York Ave. and 1st Avenue and it is incredible how much the city has evolved and changed since then - mostly for the better. I haven't been back to New York since 1992 and since then have moved to Europe. Someday, I will return for a nice long walk down Memory Lane. Thank you so much for these wonderful videos.

Moved to NYC from the west coast (L.A.) over 20 years ago and never looked back. It was love at 1st sight. I work in a field that is fascinating and rewarding (finance-real estate investment bnkg.). Of all the neighborhoods the city has to offer, settled in the UES and after a couple of years bought a pad there. The UES is a quiet, residential area. Lots of doorman and walk up bldgs. Plenty of singular boutiques and excellent restaurants from all corners of the globe. The folks are a mix of younger crowds who just got into their post college jobs and older folks like me who have been at it for some time. Plenty of private schools for the children of the elites and a smattering of bodegas and pubs too. NYC, regardless of the neighborhoods, is incredibly diverse and truly a world village. A fantastic global metropolis that exudes quality and rich multicultural variations. Love the capital of the world.

It looks like it's a bit too early for some stores to have decorations up, The Ralph Lauren store's spiral staircase with the iron handrailing is beautiful, more so than the clothes even. ☺ Thank you for sharing.

Nice walk up Madison Avenue. Always loved the store windows during the holidays, especially Ralph Lauren which has amazing interiors and does great visual merchandising at their Madison Avenue flagship locations. The men's flagship store across the street is located in the former Rhinelander Mansion and women's store is actually a new "old" building built in 2010 for some background info. Window shopping in the area makes for a nice stroll after admiring the Christmas trees & decorations on Park Avenue as well.

Really enjoyed your stroll up Madison, searching for Christmas decorations. Seemed like there wasn't too much, with the exception of Ralph Lauren. Thank you for going inside, but I wish you had gone into the other store, the historic Rhinelander Mansion! I'm curious what that looks like? I made my first visit in August 2017, well before COVID, and am amazed how much as changed. I don't remember so much construction and scaffolding in front of so many buildings? Also there weren't so many spaces for lease. Finally, all the restaurants with curbside dining blocking the sidewalks. I'm hoping to go back in 2023, and maybe some of this construction will be completed, and scaffolding will be gone? 🤔

I'm trying to go back in a few weeks with my mom (girls trip 😁) and your videos are very helpful in planning our trip in other areas of the city. NY NY. Thanks for going in RL! I never, and never walked that whole stretch of Mad. Ave. The building is all new construction. Across Madison in old Mansion is the earlier flagship store. I wonder what RL line THAT is reserved for now. Can't get over fact that you could go into Tom Ford (Men) and walk out with clothes worth a year's of income, in a regular sized shopping bag. Two pieces there can do it. Maybe can't afford a scarf or tie in there! Yeah, I know you could also shop for world-class diamond jewelry, which is compact LOL. PS Louis Vuitton 200 Trunks. free tickets online. Thru Dec 31. In former Barneys NY Madison Avenue space.

Whenever AK walks on Madison Avenue it reminds me of that time those European girls stopped him and asked him where he's from, and AK said New York. Then they said, no I mean where are you originally from? Then AK said, still New York but my grandparents came from China. Then the girls say "NEEEEHOW!" 🤣 Europeans sometimes are so dumb.
