3 жыл бұрынI walk through Midtown Manhattan in the first big snow storm of the season. This video starts off at the base of the Empire State Building. I then visit Macy's Herald Square, Times Square, and then walk over to the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree.

Under a blizard it was pounding in my face to just wait till the moring i live middlesex nj and the snow is scary because it might become wet and the its all hands no blower or it will get cloged up and they plow all the snow like 1 foot thick from the curd and then you need to shovle it all on your lawn sholve now when you can or it wont be nice

@@peterfus9543 It's just like that in Wisconsin too. What I like to do is, after I shovel my sidewalk and driveway, then I'll go ahead and shovel part of the road that's in front of my driveway. And I'll shovel it to the left of the driveway by the curb in the street. That way when the plower drops by, the hill won't be as bad! Just try it and see what happens. Also, I don't like to wait till it's done snowing before I start to shovel! I like to shovel while it's still snowing. That way it won't be as hard to clear out of the way. Even when it's in the middle of the fricken night. I force myself to get up and shovel it while it's still more shallow. Try that too if you want. I hope this helps. 😬

My 5 year old son absolutely LOVES YOUR CHANNEL! He is autistic (level 1) and he is entranced by these videos. This is one of the best snow storms I've witnessed there, having come during the holiday season. Very nice walk through it, it is so windy though!

oh thank you!!!❄❄❄🥰Here in Las Vegas, we don't see rain...forget about SnOW! this reminds me of my childhood in Michigan, waking up to look out my bedroom window and seeing an absolutely magical white world, carpets of perfect sparkling snow 🌨⛄.. I ve only been to NYC once, way back in 89', but the sights, smells, and total vibe of the city never left me. ..thank you for opening up the world to people far from you, kind sir❄

The Macy's display windows are beautiful. Many years ago I went to work during a snowstorm in N Y. I was working on 23rd St. But they sent us back home. I wish I'd stayed home.

Parts of the city got hit a lot harder than others, hopefully it wasn't too tall when it finished!

Watching from Western New York and thinking snow storm lol. I think NYC worst snowstorm was 2006 with (26.9") in 24 hours but I can see that being bad because there's not many places to put Snow. Just south of Buffalo in the southtowns we had 78 to 88 inches or 7 to 8 feet (in just 24 hours) in November 2014. In my neighborhood alone 24 houses collapsed, it's absolutely amazing only 26 people died as a result of this 24-hour snow storm. Another large snow storm was just south of Buffalo in Lackawanna New York in 1999 that storm produced 7 feet in Lackawanna & Blasdell and three to four feet in surrounding towns. For Western New Yorkers we don't sweat it until we start hearing "thunder snow" it's a phenomenon that happens because of where we're situated on Lake Erie "the lake effect snow machine" when it's thunder and lightning and you can't see across the street you know you're going to have a sore back the next day lol. Anyway happy shoveling and if you really like snow consider moving to Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, or the Tug Hill plateau 😉.

Thankyou for these walks. I lost photos of Manhattan when we visited in 2005. My daughter (was 6 at the time) & her dad went up the Empire State Building I couldn't stand heights. Seeing Times Square & the paths we walked makes me feel happy again👍😀❤️

I. LOVED. This. I was born in NYC but it has been many years since I've been back. Watching this made me so nostalgic for the city that I love. I don't know if there is a better place to be than NYC at Christmas time. It's just magical. Seeing the Macy's display, the Rockefeller tree, Times Square... so many memories. The only thing missing were the chestnut/pretzel vendors and the skaters at Rockefeller. Thank you so much for walking in the snow and bringing this amazing video to us. I know how cold the city is when the snow and wind is blowing. 🎄❄️❤️
