Seeing your mom and grandma embrace made me cry. My grandma is currently in hospice and my mom is heading to see her one last time tomorrow, the nurse said she won't survive to the end of the week. I can only imagine the pain my mom is going to feel saying goodbye. Doesn't matter how old you get, you're always your mother's daughter.

Been a silent viewer, but this made me cry like a baby. My Mom is also an immigrant, and I visited last year after 11 years of not seeing my grandparents. The mix of emotions and the pain was palpable. You are a good daughter Michelle. I hope the trip was everything you and your Mom hoped for and more.

Hi Michelle, I’m a 25 years old living in Vietnam. After watching this video, i decided to take my mom to Singapore for the first time. She has been around at home to cook, clean, take care of others, ... but never go far from where we live. Thanks for your video and the emotional feelings of you and your mother, it was giving me inspiration and determination to make this trip with my mother. I still have a lot to prepare to make it happen in July. But I’m so happy to tell you this. Love you so much!

I've been a silent viewer of yours for years and it's not easy for me to cry, but seeing the reunion with your grandma and how you and your mom took her for a walk with the wheelchair brought me to tears and struck something in me. Seeing clips like that reunion segment and trips like this one that you have with your mom reminds me how precious, yet fleeting life can feel. I'm a student, so I've been engrossed in school and thinking about my future for years now, but this video was a beautiful reminder that spending time with loved ones triumphs all else in importance. Thank you Michelle

As the daughter of an immigrant too, so so many emotions watching this video. I am not a crier but as soon as your mom and grandma greeted each other, I almost had to look away, you could just feel the flood of immense love and pain. Whew. It's impossible to know the courage and strength and pain to leave one's country without living it yourself which can cause a disconnect sometimes between immigrants and their children, they sacrifice so much for, but this video reminded me to thank my mom (again) for raising me, be more patient/gentle with our differences, spoil her a bit more and make the efforts to travel back with her to her home when we can.

I’ve been an immigrant of 5 years living in the opposite side of the world, so far, far away from my home. I cannot begin to express how my chest felt when I saw your mother tear up the night before your trip, especially the moment she was reunited with her mother. Being an immigrant is very difficult and it is very emotionally draining. I cried along with your mother. I’m so happy you guys went on this trip and I’m a complete stranger! I cannot wait until I get to reunite with my country. So heartwarming ❤️

I don’t think I’ve ever fully grasped the difficulties of being an immigrant in this country who doesn’t get to see their family often. 10 years?! Man that was a shock to my system. I have a new found respect. Even though we all “came” from somewhere, knowing my whole family lives just a few hours away at the most is a huge blessing.

wow that reunion between your mom and your grandma crushed me 😭 as the daughter of immigrants my heart hurts to imagine how my parents must have felt leaving their family behind and not being able to see them as often as they would like. Makes me appreciate their sacrifices for me even more! You are such an amazing daughter and an inspiration!

I burst into tears when your mom and your grandmother reunited. It reminded me of all the times my mom and grandmother have done the same, only to say goodbye at the end of every trip when we visit Argentina. It’s hard living without your entire extended family when they live in another country

What a beautiful soul your Mom has. She is so humble and so grateful for her brief time off from her long work days at her store. Her journey of getting ready for the trip, seeing her Mom after 10 years, eating with you then strolling contentedly at the end was so touching. Thank you, Michelle.

Your mom is absolutely the cutest! I love how you take care of your family and how they let you and appreciate it all!!! I also love how your mom absolutely melted into her moms arms and to hear her say mommy just made me get so chocked up. It was so child-like to hear her say that. No matter how old we get, mom will still be simply “mom” 🤧♥️

My grandma recently passed away in Mexico and due to my mother’s citizenship status she wasn’t able to visit her. It had been 18 years the last time they saw each other. I wish she was able to see my grandma one more time. Thank you for sharing your mom’s reunion with your grandmother ❤️

Immigration is sounds so shiny silver or brightening stars but actually this is it, in reality. It is the toughest decision anyone ever can make. We as adults we sucked all the pain, hard work up and just continue to move on and when we look back, when we stop for a little while this is what happen, precious priceless pure moments of love. Really Michelle, so much love to you and to your whole family. 💓💓
