What a great start to 2024 Niall! 🎉 I read that two people were rescued later that same day. Wonderful to catch those views before the weather changed!! No doubt you felt pretty elated during and after that 😎

It was fab Miriam, loved it 😊 I was very lucky with the weather window. It turned pretty nasty later in the afternoon. I got a taster of it close to the end there....

Niall, early starts are the best👍 catching that first light as it appears. Beautiful light as the sun☀ appeared with the mist and the snow❄ on the ground. You even got a rainbow🌈 from one of those showers🌦 A lovely way to signal in the New Year👍

Class Niall, fantastic idea to start the new year and it looked like a lot of people also had the same thought! Seemed like a beautiful moody morning and then to get the sunrise, brilliant! See you have the Nitecore headtorch, what do you think of it? Their power banks get a good write up for withstanding the cold, does the headtorch have its own rechargeable batteries? All the best mate!

Thanks Gary. It was fab, loved it 😊 On the way back to the car park I counted at least 100 cars on the roadside, I'd say at least 30 people up for the actual sunrise although only a few over at the second summit where I was. I like that headtorch. I use it mainly for road or forest walking in the early mornings or late evening. Three light levels and 1 red option. Rechargeable from USB, can't remember if it's USB C or not though...
