Opinion columnist Nicholas Kristof of The New York Times, one of the first journalists to call on President Biden to withdraw from the Democratic presidential ticket, said it'd be "strange" if his team didn't weigh in on the issue. "That's our role. To try to advocate for the public," Kristof said on "CUOMO."

I agree that Gov Whitmer would hands down be the best choice to replace Biden. She checks ALL the right boxes that dems need to beat Trump. I think dem politicians however would probably go with Harris as she is the VP and black and god forbid they choose a white woman over a black one despite the fact Harris isn't well liked.

I dropout from the NYT and Coumo, whom I used to watch all the time. Total disappointment. Trump slips up every single time, you guys should focus on that. In addition his cognitive state on every single speech WITH prompter, and don't forget the 34 felony counts. Why no one is asking him to step down? Something is really wrong with the so called "truth" driven news media.

Too much focus is on this. People at least dems, vote for the positions, the team, and the party. Many people don't want someone with a lifetime history like Trump. The dems have a team which could cope with any emergency.
