So the advice is for Harris to beat up on immigrants- kicking down on vulnerable, desperate people from a privileged child of immigrants? Her Brahmin mother could have stayed in India, and her father could have stayed in Jamaica and both had decent lives.. When her mother wanted bigger bucks and more prestige, she was even able to escape America for Canada. But let's have Harris with that background lecture desperate Guatemalans fleeing for survivial that America- which has a despicable history of destabilizing Guatemala in favor of right wing genocide squads- there is " no room " for them ? Harris is very good on abortion. I identify as pro- Life, but Harris does a persuasive job as framing the choice issue as one of privacy, governmental intrusion and basic female health concerns. That's where she shines.

This is classic disinformation. Why don't you look into the hypocrisy of Trump going after Obama's birth certificate when Melania Trump was brought over to the US on an "Einstein Visa", reserved for intellectuals -- the kind of people who win Nobel Prizes. Her mother was also shoe'd in when they changed the Citizenship test for her by changing the test so that she could pass it. MeidasTouch has several videos on the subject (these are highly intelligent and well-researched journalistic reports -- they are lawyers who are careful, unlike Fox who's paying almost 1 Billion for lying that the 2020 election was stolen).

Historian Heather Cox Richardson writes: Gish Gallop, "It's a rhetorical technique in which someone throws out a fast string of lies,non-sequiturs, and specious arguments, so many that it is impossible to fact-check or rebut them in the amount of time it took to say them. Trying to figure out how to respond makes the opponent look confused, because they don't know where to start grappling with the flood that just happened. It's a form of gaslighting". For me as a voter there was no debate Trump eliminated it. Due to Trump, Trump's and Biden's answers to questions should be written and if not a real answer it is not read.

I love Gretchen Whitmer not Kamala Harris. I’ve wanted Whitmer to be president. Harris’ nasaly sound rubs me wrong. Also I have never been excited by her. I supported Joe Biden over her in the primaries. I saw Harris speak to a Latina business group. It was mildly inspiring. But she think Biden should have replaced her Whitmer.

I think her weakness is that where Hillary was doudy and did seem to be MOM as well as Secy of State, Kamala "slays". She is a woman without children who is in a mixed marriage and with a mixed ethnic background. She is very educated. She comes from middle class highly educated parents. She seems to have no working class patina at all to me. During her campaign for president she didnt seem to manage the public opinion very well.

Also I like Buttigieg as Vice President, he's well spoken and can think on his feet, has a midwest background, Indiana I think, and he's likeable to help balance some of that out.. anyways he's a great choice for veep, imo

I'll say it: I hate Kamala Harris. She was a do-nothing prosecutor and a do-nothing Attorney General. She has cultivated a blank canvas image in an effort to make herself a smaller target. Ditch her and put in Tammy Duckworth. Not only does she check all the boxes, but she stands for something. .so to speak.

She is Tamil Indian, and I would say she’s Indian American except that She was raised exclusively by her Indian mother in CANADA -she has portrayed herself as black for political gain throughout her career, taking “leadership” positions in black student organizations and downplaying her Indian heritage. She is not that different from Rachel Donezal, she is from a Tamil background with a small contribution of Jamician dna (which is VERY different from being from an American black family.) She has taken the place of truly black Americans throughout the entirety of her political career taking scholarships and places set aside for black Americans, pretending that she is qualified. She has never had a black relative in this country (father is Jamaican not Black American.)

As a black woman with "Jamaican dna," I'm super confused by this argument. VP Harris is multi-racial and multi-ethnic. She doesn't have to choose between being Indian, Jamaican, and Black. She's all three. No one can take that away from her.

Her approval ratings are elevated because she is not under lights nor is everyone polled answering that precise question: they are hearing “do you prefer Kamala to Trump”? In the clear her ratings will/would collapse. So badly, even if she was nominated she would be replaced in a matter of weeks.

Unconscious bias is the reason you think KH is so hated? Go to California and speak to any liberal. No progressives but liberals - and you will get a clear answer. She has no political core, was a terrible AG, and has been an ineffective VP. The fact that she is one step removed from the presidency is a major concern.

I don't think Harris is a bad VP, or incapable, and I would way rather have her as president as Trump. And I've been wondering why she's so disliked. And since the possibility of her being the candidate is real, I've taken a closer look. I think what it is is that she comes across as insincere and condescending. And I don't think she really is, I think she's just not comfortable communicating with the entire public. Maybe she's better with her die hard supporters (if she has any). And maybe she is careful not to come across as angry. But when she's angry, the mask slips and suddenly she's a real person, and a more sympathetic person. I like her better when she's angry. She just needs to figure out how to let the mask slip without getting mad.

@Smile-j5p I care about that as well.. we're still figuring that part out. The problem is with the rules. They obviously need to be restructured so that competition is fair. And no, abortion isn't all I care about. I hope one of your children or grandchildren never have to suffer and die through the pain of an ectopic pregnancy for you to see how important bodily autonomy is for women.
