NZXT Capsule - I MADE Them Fix It!

When NZXT realised that PC gamers wanted a simple plug and play microphone for gaming and streaming, they thought they had the perfect answer, with the Capsule. Sadly, when it launched, it didn't exactly work as intended, and at its rated audio sample rate, it sounded flat and lacked depth or bass. A few months on and there's finally a fix, which now makes it even better and as it was initially intended.

Have been happy with my HyperX Quadcast so far. Might only be 48/16 but does me for game nights etc. just fine 🙂

@@squallloire Yeah, unless you're listening with really high-grade headphones, it's a tough one to tell the difference, unless you're actively listening out for it.

Headset mics always sound drab in comparison to a dedicated mic.

NZXT have the best customer support. They sent out a replacement of a side panel and a front panel 6 years after I purchased the case. Whenever I’ve contacted them, an agent replies within 24 hours, and no automated robot nonsense.

Increíble, me podrian pasar enlace directo a la actualización? no la encuentro por ningun lado Mi nzxt capsule, me ponia voz de ardilla, pero al colocar tanto la entrada como la salida del microfono a 96hz, funciona bien, pero aún no lo e actualizado.

Capsule page in the nzxt website, select the "Resources" menu and download the "Capsule Firmeware Update". Run the .exe downloaded.

The microphone still has a problem. They are shipping the microphone without an unique USB serial number which means that on a MacBook you cannot connect two mics because only one is recognized. Yetis had this problem but got fixed thanks to a software released by Logitech. I'm now stuck with two mics and can only use one at a time. I hope they address this in a future firmware update. Maybe by associating random serial numbers to each mic to avoid collision of serial numbers.

I’m gonna be honest I can’t hear the difference which is probably the main reason this wasn’t handled earlier. I’m sure for audiophiles it’s blatantly obvious 🤷‍♂️

Have you used your mic lately? I just purchased this at a discount at 80$ and when using the 96khz option I sound like a chipmunk. Can you please make another video showing this so they can actually fix it for real...

@@justsomeguy9250 @Blaze-mt9ir I heard about that in another review video that said it can be fixed by setting the output to 96khz too, haven't tested it tho, hope it helps!
