I like these reviews. Looking forward to your equipment upgrade so we can see the audio and spectral graphs. At the moment you have to just go on "what sounds best" which isn't a bad method but its always good to see that the claimed frequency responses are accurate.

I'm glad you're enjoying them. I'm looking forward to getting more technical with the audio reviews too. I'm in the process of researching the best way/setup to measure stuff accurately from home at the moment.

Listening from my laptop I'd say the mini actually sounds slightly better to my ears as its removing the higher frequencies from your voice. Its got quite a nice warm sound.

Think the top mounting is the best solution as it’s out of the way but it does lose quite a lot of voice.

So to my ear the MSI sounds a bit muffled. The Elgato sounds nice as always. This one is pretty good considering it's very affordable for a semi-pro mic.

Only hing its quite niche getting one of these instead of a headset with a built in microphone. Quality is way better though.

Think go for the capule mini mic but use the bigger boom arm.

To be fair adjusting the gain isn’t something you need to do all the time so it’s understandable they made it software only.

To my mind in the test and in the rest of video capsule mini sounds differently(

Everything outside of the mic test was recorded with a lav mic.

Yeah they use good lav mics for reviews. The sound test is quite a good showcase for the products. Thanks for doing that.

It's possibly the tuning that NZXT have done to the frequency range on the Capsule Mini.
