I'm sorry, but accidents involving children on e-bikes are not the fault of the bikes, but of the PARENTS who did not teach their children how to use them. 😥

kids will be kids. just let um know the dangers of playing in traffic. let them know we have the worse drivers in the nation. hit and runs are crazy high. dont just ban

It's already illegal for kids age 15 and under to ride ebikes. It's in the honolulu city and county law.

Why are there no drivers ed classes for e bikes? They need to pass a written and road test, just like one car, don't think these kids understand, once you get on the roads, they must abide by the same rules and laws of cars!

I support this ban. Kids ride towards me in traffic. They go from the sidewalk, to the street, back to the sidewalk, and back to the street. They ignore speed limits, stop signs and red lights.

They drive like their parents. No surprise.
