Fantastic series I’ve really enjoyed watching. I watch it on the living room TV, I’ve been annoying the whole family! I’ll definitely be ordering a build pack for the same size room. I just wondered if you have a rough guide on material costs? I’m sorry if you’ve answered this already. It didn’t come up in the videos and I know it will be very rough.

I slide my bolster flat under plaster board and simply line up board and stand on end of bolster and it will lift spade end upwards closing gap,be gentle and it will help lift board if you cut to much of just put small lever point under handle to help you,

Great video as always although I like this series more because it is more in line with my future project. With regards with the plasterboards in windows and doors, have you tried to use the saw on the short end for cutting but using the stanley knife to cut the paper back of the board? It is the same procedure as cutting your board to length. In this way, you have less dust to clean up.

Great series, very informative. A real pleasure to watch a professional at work. I was wondering, if you didn't have the height restriction in the UK, would you still opt for a hybrid roof, or chose the warm or cold roof variant instead?

A brilliant and informative series Liam. I have already purchased your build pack and this series answer pretty much all my questions. I do have a couple though. 1. The build pack says to lay down breathable membrane on the floor underneath the flooring. You didn't do that in the series. Any reason? 2. The roof timbers run at an angle to give you the fall which means that the front and rear ends are not perpendicular to the ground. Do you cut them at the required angle to give you a perpendicular facia board? Thanks again. Colin

Just about to set-out on my own build project. 6m x 4m workshop. had my slab poured last month whilst it was still mild so just waiting on materials. The old Cedar is too rich for my blood so going to go either Siberian Larch (unsorted) or TIGA Rainscreen Thermowood. Hi Liam, another amazing video in this Solo build, it just shows everyone that it is doable (if thats a word 😆) by one or two people on their own without thousands of pounds worth of tools. Hoping to start a self build in the spring with my son helping me as I'm too long in the tooth for a lot of heavy work, I did have a question if thats O.K., can the floor joist "Shoes" be bought ready cut to size and drilled with a 25mm hole as i imagine the Evolution magnetic drill and bits are quite expensive ??. I thought I was understanding your stud spacing until this video.. you were leaving 400 gaps to best use insulation and not 400 centres which I got but now when you are putting the plasterboard up your studs are now on 400 centres so I got a bit confused again
