I miss when Noel used to perform this style closer to the album than the miserable Ryan Adam's version instead
@PomBare2 жыл бұрын
That's the thing. Singers always add little things and change the intonation and such, thus over time it goes through the wash so much it ends up being a cover version of a cover version and is it even the same song anymore? As a thought experiment - Ship of Theseus.

I think Liams' voice is better suited to Don't look back in anger and he would've killed it during his heyday! But I do really, really love Noel singing DLBIA though.

@vacuumboots699 жыл бұрын
oh you serious? Ha-ha, it's a classic tune and would have probably been even better if Noel sung it. Liam pulled a mardy and Noel gave in. Noel sings it with way more meaning, wrote for Meg Matthews originally and one of the best songs of the past 30 years, just over played to the extreme.

Seriously doubting if you heard the performance above. He did just fine. And while Liam's voice's a definite character, can't dismiss how well Noel sang here. So I'm sure the tune would've still held it's phenomenal merit if they released it as Noel's voice like here.
