I feel like I have the best MC1 story ever, but you may not believe it. I was living in Japan in 2010, in a small city called Zushi. Here’s where the story gets silly, but stay with me. I was taking a poop in our second floor bathroom, in our house which was on the tallest hill within several miles. The window was open behind me, and I heard a helicopter getting very close, like REAL close. As my head started vibrating, I spun around just in time to see Marine Corps 1 pass right outside the window. I mean it was framed perfectly in the window, like it was in a picture frame. Turns out, it was just Obama, on his was to visit the Great Buddha statue in Kamakura, the next city over.

So we've got 2 CH-46 Sea Knights in standard USMC livery, one CH-46 in Presidential livery, and 2 VH-60's in Presidential livery. Quite a different setup from the usual three-ship Marine One formation.
