There's so many instances where we could use China's logic in the world, like the Greeks owning some of the Mediterranean, the Egyptians owning some of the Mediterranean even fuckin, China trying to claim the Mars, even Julius Caesar trying to claim the moon, it's just appalling and that way of thinking should just be completely snuffed out

Taking their passport and give them a real low salary, so low that it take years before they have afford buy a plane ticket home again, and they doesn't have afford an travel insurance, so if something happening, they are stuck there. There is a high suicide rate among these workers in the Arabian peninsula. feemale who work as house keepers are closed inside the house, and they get rearly go out, but only together with the family following them. Many have jumped out rooftops and windows high up in the houses. And men do also do suicide, hang themselves ore kill themselves on construction sites. 6,500 workers have died in Qatar building infrastructure for the 2022 World Cup. An investigation by the Guardian reveals the staggering number of deaths among migrant workers in Qatar on building sites for the 2022 World Cup, and a lot of the deaths are suicide!

My comment was to point out how stupid the Chinese claim of territories by using the "since ancient time" argument. Im Italian and as much as we want to be Rome successor we are not, we are something born from the ashes of numerous empire (Rome, Byzantium, Ostrogoth, Franks, Gauls, German and much more) and only because Rome was the greatest of our Ancestor we usually say that we are its heir

Yep, their building standards reach new depths of incompetence. Its a weird "Make lots of them. I don't care if they work, just make lots of them, as some will work."

Well, not exactly. Russia know deal with a bully's, and therefor Vietnam have a gas field that the Russian Gazprom own 21 percent of. It wasn't an Vietnam idea, but a Russian. But Russia have taken care of much worse bullies than the west claim China is. Hadn't been for Russia, Syria would have been controlled by to state founded terrorist states US and ISreal who supplied terrorist's with both weapons and payment, a huge income for be in the middle East, about 15-20 terrorist groups was supported by US and ISreal. And China did also help Syria, but not with soldiers. more with aid of food and medical equipment. In Syria a lot people got killed, that doesn't happen in the South China sea. In case it is US who never should bee there. The Chinese with nukes, Iranian, Iraqis, Russian with nukes, North Korean with nukes, Venezuelian, Pakistani with nukes, should all sailed into the Mexican Gulf with hevely armed ships, and just claimed freedom of navigation, And the Palestinian should have military exercise in the West Bank, and tested missiles with allies, like the the Lebanese resistance groups Hezbollah, Syria, Iraq and Iran, test the missiles on illegal houses set up by armed terrorists, so called settlers hoses. But yea, Vietnam deal with the bully US n the 1960-70's, but they doesn't deal with China alone. US is a much greater danger in the South China sea.

The reclaimed land is inside the the West Frisian Islands, which would be where the EEZ is calculated from, so, the question is essentially irrelevant. Also, the Netherlands EEZ is in an area where there are other EEZ's from the other countries on the North Sea, so unlike an island like Australia which gets the full 200 miles out to sea (plus continental shelf if that applies) the Netherlands gets up to the mid-point between itself and the UK.

That's because they only use gimmicks to channel their own funds back with the additional interest that they earn on their own money. Think about it; they give your government the loans to hire only China-based contractors. Then they make sure that each and every cent of that money goes to a China-based company, including the water and food bills of the workers. After that, they ask you to pay the interest for the money that they gave you for funding their own companies. When you fail to pay, they take your asset at absolutely no cost.

I doubt if the "foundation" of the islands is concrete. The Islands are formed by dredging material from the surrounding seas and "piling" it up. Concrete runways and building foundations would have been poured on this rock/coral/sand base. Yes, the runways might need patching/repairs, but the island would not disappear into the sea. They can always dredge up more material to create a bigger buffer around the foundations.

3:27 Correction: under international law, artificial islands, platforms, etc., do not extend a country's Exclusive Economic Zone. Therefore when the U.S. (or any other country) sends warships into the South China Sea in the area of those artificial islands, it is not entering China's EEZ.

Your US masters aren't part of the UNCLOS anyway, or plenty of other international laws.

@LoanwordEggcorn 3 жыл бұрын
@@tritium1998 The U.S. is not descended from kings or emperors like China, U.K. and most other countries It's not a dictatorship like China, or, functionally, Russia. The U.S. practices the conventions in UNCLOS even if it's not a full signatory. UNCLOS comes from conventional law, meaning it's what most countries were already doing before. That's what most International law is: convention. And almost all countries follow it. If you're not in the U.S. your government is your master. In the U.S. the people are the master of the government. The people elect or reject it at will. See the Declaration of Independence.

Those tiny, man-made islands are EXTREMELY VULNERABLE to typhoons, more than anything else. Everyone or almost everyone on the island will die. Also, military equipment is expensive, and losing an entire base (albeit a small one) is a severe loss.

Use sonic weapons to sink these islands, it can be done quitely without even them knowing, just a slow continuous underwater rumble for a specific period of time and it will collapse back into sea.
