Check out the official trailer below: This appears to be the planet Daiyu mentioned in previews, described in Entertainment Weekly as “edgy” and “like Hong Kong” which... remains to be seen how that plays out, given Star Wars’ particular, and often peculiar, relationship with embracing aspects of Asian culture in its mythology. We know Obi-Wan goes there, don’t know why, but it’s clear the Inquisitors find a way to follow him.

Ohhhh this is gonna be good. Just love the fact that this is the only side story I have ever been interested in, how much did obi wan influence luke before he grew up, in a certain kinda way. His interactions, casually from the shadows or directly, pulling strings in the hope of redemption while fearing it could backfire. Ohh Disney please don't feck this up.

His father figure chose another son over him, then that boy became like a son to him and chose another father over him. Then he had to spend the rest of his life in a third world desert looking out for a kid whom he wasn't allowed to talk to, with people thinking he was some local kook and the only place he could go for a drink was the most wretched hive of scum and villainy you'll ever find. Inspiring he's managed to maintain his sense of humour after it all!

To me Obi-Wan is an extremely well made character. He is the embodiment of the entire Jedi Code. He lost everything, He was betrayed by Anakin whom he considered a brother no one knows if he is alive or dead. His entire story is tragic until the very end when he sacrifices himself to save luke and his friends. To me Obi-Wan is my favorite Jedi. Hes the absolute embodiment of the Jedi Code. And yet he stuck to the Jedi code until his feath

@@rageblock7802 Cody would be a lovely addition only due to the fact that he was close with Obi. Not having him in here at least two times would be a missed opportunity. It could be flashbacks, short scenes, maybe even the smallest interaction. Make it deep.

One thing no-one seems to talk about is if he will be able to talk to his master: Qui-Gon Jinn. Remember what Yoda told him at the end of the 3rd episode? "How to commune with him, I will teach you" That would be fucking epic!

Couldn't agree more. There is no villain on screen who could completely be a galactic badass with just body language, his breathing, or a short one liner. Dude is epic, and no matter how many sith characters they end up doing in the future, no one will ever be on par with Vader.

darth Vader is the most beloved villian because his story is one of hope and redemption. especially in western culture, We have hope that we can all be redeemed of the things we have done wrong. it's part of being human the hope that we can come back from a screw up. Redeemed villians are just cherished in western culture. it's why darth vader is so loved. because ultimately he does the right thing in the end.

I wonder what will happen, because at beginning Episode IV looked like Vader didn't knew where Obi-Wan and Luke is. So if there was combat on Tatooine how they 'forgot' that Obi is there.

How could you possibly tell that? In IV, all Vader says is (not a direct quote) I sense something I haven't felt since....and the sentence falls off. Then during the duel Vader says when I last left you I was but the student, now I am the teacher. That could imply they last left off somewhere else. Nobody knows Obi-Wan is on Tatooine until Ezra finds him in Rebels then was followed by Maul.

At 0:55 is the best part of the video. Seeing Obi-Wan Kenobi walking by, hood over his head, arms crossed and just surveying his target(s) seemingly unnoticed is just a brilliant pause moment. Really glad to see him shine again. Can hardly wait for this.

Unpopular opinion. I'm slightly skeptical of this. I actually like the idea that the last time Obi Wan saw Vader before A New Hope was on Mustafar. I also like the idea of the whole empire just thinking he's dead like Tarkin did

There should be a what if Owen finally lets Obi wan train Luke. Like either Obi wan admits his mistake and tells him that’s why he can do better or when the inquisitors do their thing and convinced Owen to let Obi wan train Luke. Then we have a stronger Luke or something.

The Inquisitors are the primary antagonists the first part of the series. Once they know they have Obi-Wan is when Vader will arrive. They’ll probably have another duel from everything I’ve heard.

Kenobi will probably outsmart him and escape or Vader will be winning and Kenobi will call him Anakin or something and Vader won't be there mentally. Because if Vader would lose after 10 years of training as the chosen one with darkside powers even with his limbs missing. Why would they need Luke at all? Kenobi could kill Vader and then Yoda,Kenobi and remaining Jedi could go after the Emperor. Or the battle will be a Dream which would suck but would be understandable

@@DonkeyWiggle I doubt it, in a New Hope when Vader faces Obi Wan on the Death Star he says "Last time I saw you I was but a learner. Now I am the master." also "I sense something... A presence I have not felt since." They would have to maintain some level of continuity with A New Hope.

It all looks very pretty, as did the initial trailers for Bobba Fett. I hope the writers have left Obi Wan alone and not butchered the character as they did with poor old Bobba. We will know by the end of episode one!

What I want to see happen in this show. 'Obi-Wan drops his lightsaber during a fight, as he is just about to take off in a rush, a hand emerges from the shadows to pick up the lightsaber, walks to him slowly and says I think youll be needing this sir. Obi-Wan recognizes the man, and hesitantly takes the lightsaber, looking over his shoulder cautiously as he walks away. That fan service will be enough for me for the next 2-3 years even if the show itself sucks.

Disney is not that creative and they don’t have the balls to either… We’re just gonna see Obi wan running around shooting blasters avoiding lazer sword fights until the end with Anakin… even then they’re gonna try to nostalgia bait us. It’s working. Mandalorian and Rogue One are the only good content Disney has distributed… that’s bullshit. They shat on the sequels. I have no hope for Obi Wan. I hate Obi Wan anyway. Anakin did nothing wrong.

I hope not... because Luke doesn't even know what a Lightsaber is til ANH... nor did he have any knowledge of the Force... so he can't see Reva or her Lightsaber, as that would contradict everything done in the scene where Obi-Wan showed Luke his father's Lightsaber. We'll have to wait and see, the leaks didn't exactly get every little detail... plus they could be wrong all together.

@@roger632 I honestly don't think it's that big of a problem, children forget things, and perhaps Obi-Wan will erase his memory of that encounter. I feel as if they can make it work, although I will admit that I have high expectations for this show, and will be extremely upset if it doesn't live up to the hype.
